I know! Have Escapism in Reading! It's just like London, but quieter and with less stuff to do!

Looks like some good photos there guys! I'm not home yet, staying at a mate's in Wimbledon for a bit and nursing several lovely bruises taken in that last ill-fated round of paintball...

On a lighter note though, it was awesome meeting everyone (despite the unfortunate christening of 'Dave')! I'd definitely be up for a repeat next year!

Wait, you're free at 16? What's your definition of free? Because you don't finish school at 16 unless you drop out, and you don't leave home at 16.

There has (sorry Sky) already been talk of where to have Escapism 2011. We're looking to move from London and have somewhere a bit further up North; but debates on that will have to wait until next year I think.

Now, I REALLY need to bathe.

I mean by when i'm 16 I am more free then usual. My parents have said that I get to go do what I want but I can't live with them unless I get a job. And you leave school (techincly) when you're 16 then you have to have two years of education either by collage or an apprentiship after which you can choose to go to uni. If escapism is on at around the same time I will still be having a holiday.
Well thats what I think the british educational system works like. I could be wrong though.

Picture of the hostel I took before anyone arrived.

Root may look innocent, but he will completely destroy you at poker.

Sky, Card Master.

I have more pictures, but they're not Escapism related.

Yeah, that's pretty much how it works, except if you pass your GCSE's you can go to sixth form for those two years. Yeah, I might be able to go next year, depending if I manage to convince my dad that I would be with responsible adults. IE, lie to him. He thinks they're all paedophiles.

Yeah, my parents say the same. But meh, I do belive they are just trying to protect me though.
I don't think they realise how mature I am compared to others my age. I mean somone in my year is pregnent! When I heard about I thought. 'Wow, just wow. Way to ruin your life.'
And yet again I've gone of topic to talk about how... whats the word? chavy? My year are.

Chavy? You haven't seen chavy until you've seen my school. But according to people I'm a credit to my age group, but I still act like them IRL. Just not on the internet.

We've got 7 sex addicts, 9 gang members, 5 possibly 6 drug addicts, 23 smokers and thats just my year. I don't like being born in the year I was.

I feel like I was born too young, seeing has I like music from 30 years ago, and I like all the games that where made before I was born, and everyone seems to think I have the maturity of someone twice my age.

I hear you there bud. Most of my music is stuff like Sex Pistols, Dio, AC/DC, etc.
That's no excuse! Listen to more NWoTM (New Wave of Trad Metal) stuff then: Black Tide, Airbourne and Cauldron are a good place to start.

Insanum laughs like he's high.
It's really hard not to burst out in laughter just because of the way he laughs. I think we actually spent a whole time in the room just laughing, unable to do anything. I don't even know what we were laughing about.
Neither do I, but it was hilarious.

Thanks to everyone who helped to set up the trip, and it was awesome meeting up with everyone.

My parents joked about this last year. I got a text from them, once I'd met up with the rest, saying "Don't get raped".

But if parents are worried, we can work around that. Both years we've now had parents come check us out / tag along to make sure it's safe. Both years they've left happy. Fun for the whole family!

As for your school system debate, after GCSEs (at 16) you leave school. You can then either go into full time employment, further education or an apprenticeship. Though the latter is available to almost anyone, as is further education, though you have to pay for it after you're 19. So you are free at 16, but most choose further education to have better job prospects.

Doesn't that mean New Wave Of Thrash Metal? Besides, traditional metal is more Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, and Guns N Roses than AC/DC and Dio. But I like all metal that was made before 1990, when it hadn't turned into a ridiculous number of other sub genres, and death metal became more popular.

Same here, it makes it worse that I live 20 miles away from London, and it would be easy has pie to join them.

O.T. Interesting, it sure makes sense of all the random tweets going on.
Same, but I'm gonna be too busy to.

No, that's the Thrash Revival, silly :p

Unless you're referring to the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, a lot of that's thrash-y.

Well I think it's used in both meanings, but more commonly to mean Trad Metal.
