At the moment its not feasible for me anyway. During the school year I'm studying in Montreal with ability/money to travel somewhere for a convention. In the summer I'm working full-time in Toronto so I can afford to keep studying the following school year. I'd be going to the North-East US one but I don't think I'll be able to work it into my schedule or my budget. It was a flash of an idea that I had hope for at the time but I realize wasn't exactly realistic with my current situation. If there was something in Toronto I could make it happen but its not exactly convenient for most people.

Hmm, well it seems the biggest problems are transportation (and being allowed to go somewhere) and location so far. What are we defining as "Midwest?" I suppose Illinois (where I know of black lincon, myself, House25, ffxfriek, Faeanor, and some others I don't remember), Iowa (stickguy, Jumpman), Indiana (Grand Poohbah), Missouri (samsprinkle), Ohio (Grimm91), Pennsylvania (Symp4thy, Vivvav, Aumichan), Michigan (Zallest, GodsClown), Wisconsin, Kansas, and Minnesota (meatloaf231). I know ace_of_something is from Nebraska, too.

Wow, Emperor Inferno, Darth Empyrean and MYSELF ALL failed to make the Iowa list? What the hell is this? If it was in Illinois, we could probably attend... Iowa would be better, although I could crash at my friend's house in Indiana if it was there...

(I would be the chauffeur for the three of us if Inferno comes, otherwise it will just be Empyrean, Myself and my Daughter...)

Also, what do we think of dividing the west into 2 groups, or even 3? It seems like they're very spread out because it's a lot of the states west of the Mississippi, so what about a "mountain" region (Colorado, Wyoming and the like), a southwestern meeting (California, Nevada, Arizona, perhaps Utah, etc.), and maybe even a northwestern meeting, (for Washington, Oregon, etc.)

Hey the Aussiescapists turned out all right, I'm sure we can pull this off. Although I have to ask, have you been to an IRL meeting or are you just afraid of randome people on the internet? I'm not saying that either is bad, hell I wouldn't show up at an IRL meeting of anywhere but this site.

The magic goes away. I wouldn't get to think of UltraJoe as some sort of armored emissary of darkness and kittens, for example.

And that would be just miserable!

well, considering Ultrajoe wouldn't be at this meetup, I think the probability of that is pretty much nil.
