I guess the moderators didn't like my bluntness. I thought it was a great way to make the point. I was only approaching sex from his angle. What's the harm in a word like "fuck" if sex has no more meaning? Heck, we hear the word "fuck" so often in movies and on TV its almost lost its taboo nature as a swear word. See, my statement was as layered as an Molten Lava Chocolate Cake(tm)!nipsen said:Oh. I wonder if that should become an addendum to Rule 35--that if it can be modded to become virtual sex, so must be done. If the character skins are moddable, then I already expect a nude patch. If not...no big loss, I suppose.ravenshrike said:DA2 will be moddable. I choose you Fox News! Fox News used Controversy... It wasn't very effective
Bioware used Free Publicity... It's super effective!

Games companies should go and fire all their story writers so. Jeez... here they are wasting money on staff who are pointless(!)strangeotron said:video games aren't stories. Bioware aren't telling stories. They are desiging games. I don't want a story forced on me. I don't want to play through some pointless stupid looking vapid cut scene with sex (I have SR2 for that). I want an interesting setting, interesting gameplay and fun characters to play. Let the story evolve from that. If Bioware want to pretend to be Tolkien, good luck with that. That's not video game design and I have no desire to read 300 pages of meaningless codex entries each time i play a bioware game.Jesus Phish said:Bioware tells stories.
Stories can and do at times have sex in them, because people in the real world have sex and it's something they can relate to.
It's the same as a book or a movie depicting sex in it's story. It's usually used to add to the world or the story.
