I've been known to sometimes continue on the previous nights dream which might end up in a long epic journey spanning several weeks or so IRL, kinda like watching a tv-show in first person in your own head. Haven't met anyone who does the same thing and it's starting to creep me out.

Everyone dreams, and I believe you have several a night every time you reach a certain point in your sleep cycle. I imagine you're more likely to remember a dream if you wake up during that point in a cycle, but I'm just guessing at that bit.

I do not want to get into the specifics because I value my continued membership here, but I will say this: nearly everyone on earth, in particular the Catholic church, would be given pause whenever they laid eyes upon either mirrors or farm animals for as long as they live.

Everyone dreams, it's just if you remember them or not. And the deeper you are into your sleep cycle, the more they occur. You also have loads a night and the closer you are to waking up, the longer they last.
If you want to dream more, try falling asleep as soon as you wake up (Or set your alarm for 1 hour before you normally get up) you are almost guaranteed to have a dream that you will remember.

As you have loads of dreams a night, you forget about the older dreams which you had earlier in the night and you are more likely to remember your dream just before you wake up. Some people, like yourself, don't seem to remember any dreams. However, I can remember dreams back from my childhood :S

If everyone had the dreams I had, I bet many people would try to avoid sleeping. Many of my dreams are almost always dark and creepy. The things that I have seen in my dreams are usually trying to destroy and/or eat me. The environments there are usually dark and foreboding.

I find that these dreams are normal to me. Anything that is bright and/or cheerful *shudders* Now THAT is what I consider to be a nightmare.
