What with all the high-tech-inating of all of the next gen consoles, and of course, the release of the "New XBOX 360"; there's obviously been a lot of buzz.

But I'm sick of the buzz! I can only take so much buzz before I'm all buzzed out.

So let's take a look at the highlights from some of the less popular gaming platforms .

I for one remember my old-school XBOX and PS2 quite fondly. So many good times, summer days and weekends just playing on my mediocre by todays' standards consoles.

Let the nostalgia begin!

I don't have much nostalgia for old games because all of the games I had were awful. I still spent hours and hours playing them though.

Old-School is locking Sonic 3 onto Sonic & Knuckles. Old School is playing through Super Mario Bros 3. on the NES in one sitting because there is no "save" function.

There is nothing remotely "old school" about either the PS2 or Xbox.

I recently bought a re-released sega genesis console that has about 10 built in games and a cartrige with another 10. I spent some days playing alterated beast and Golden Axe, i also checked the other games out.

I'll bet a good 50% of users don't even know what a Sega Genesis is, since the Xbox and PS2 are apparently "old school"

Bubbleman and Airman. I love the music for both of their stages. Also, when your plane crashes and you wake up in the Seaside Palace in Illusion of Gaia.

...How can those games be old enough to give anyone nostalgia?
My general opinion on video game nostalgia is that it has to be at least 10 years old. Final Fantasy X is 9 years old.

Feel old yet?

Meh it's in the past and I prefer it to know that counts as nostalgia to me.

I remember when I spent forever trying to beat Castlevania IV, and then I got to the end, and that was it. Nothing special in the ending at all. I was so disappointed, but the nostalgia of the other game sup to that point completely made forget how pointless it made all that effort feel.

I remember practicing on the time trial tracks in the original F-Zero so I could beat the Knight class.

Oh, the nostalgia!

Dude, Super Metroid. Those epic nights where you try and complete it in under 2 hours to try and see Samus without her suit on....

By that, I don't mean like a sexual thing. Not at all :)

You might want to get that sand out of your bum soon...

Besides, to me, being fifteen, old school is PS2 and original XBOX. I'm sorry my being youthful annoys you.

Does anyone else remember Pokemon Pinball? I spent weeks entranced by that game... I think, if I remember right, my highest score was in the low 2 millions...

Sitting on my fathers lap when i was like 4 or so, playing leisure suit larry: love for sail! on his then brand new notebook with Windows 3.something. That is my oldest memory of gaming. I finished the game on an emulator when i was 18. That was one nostalgia-ridden playthrough.

If PS2 and Xbox are what's being considered as retro and nostalgic these days, I think I may have to cry...

I didn't realise I had gotten that old T_T

Nostalgic for me is playing Alex Kidd in Miracle World on my Master System. Back when there would be a game installed into the bios. Good times.

Then my Mega Drive. So many countless hours playing soooooo many platformers and side scroller beat em ups. Oh and the amount of time I spent trying to beat Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. Man I got so mad...

Then the Playstation. Final Fantasy. Crash Bandicoot. Tekken. Gran Turismo. Such. Epic. Fun.

Oh and how could I forget my Game Boy. Pokémon Blue. Best game ever!

Man I'm depressed about being 21 now...
