What I would give to be able to play Wallace and Gromit: Project Zoo, just one more time.

Nostalgia made me trade my SNES for a N64 because I liked the games more, and I more vividly remember playing my N64 games (Especially Zelda).

I felt old when the released the ten year anniversary toys for Beast Wars. (I bought waspinator) Eh I don't think just being ten is enough anymore, I think it has to be entirely dead for it to be fully old, and there are still stores selling new ps2s and stuff.
Waspinator, heheh.

The longevity of the PS2 is a huge anomaly, though. If developing PS3/X360/Wii games weren't so expensive, we would have stopped seeing those ages ago. I mean, the console is 11 years old and at one point recently was even out-selling PS3s. Crazy.

Playing the first banjo-kazooie on the N64............

Great, now I'm having thoughts about mumbo-jumbo beating the witch to a bloody pulp with his staff.
Banjo-Kazooie is one of my all-time favorite platformers. However, I can't play it anymore since I don't own a 360 or a 64.

Nostalgia's a *****.

Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, for the original Game Boy.

Because my parents refused to buy me any more video games for about a year, I must have beaten that one at least 20 times.

Diddy Kong Racing for N64 was my second video game, and I don't understand why critics hated it. I loved it back then, and I still love it now. I remember the hours and hours spent going back through all the ice tracks so that I could race the stupid walrus, and then the unfathomable difficulty of said race.

It is, in my opinion, the best console. It covered every base. FPS, RPG, Sports, platformers. If there was a genre there was at least once decent game for it on the PS2. The ps2 was also the first console to double as a DVD player and it was just all around so very effective at what it did, it had very few major flaws and has (I think) one of the biggest libraries of good, solid games.
Completely agreed. The PS2 is my favorite console ever made (if you like JRPGs, it's heaven), and the DS is a close second (though not technically a console).

Besides, to me, being fifteen, old school is PS2 and original XBOX. I'm sorry my being youthful annoys you.
Whoa whoa whoa...how can you be talking about nostalgia at fifteen? Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...

I'm hoping that's not a double entendre.

I recently bought a re-released sega genesis console that has about 10 built in games and a cartrige with another 10. I spent some days playing alterated beast and Golden Axe, i also checked the other games out.
I'll bet a good 50% of users don't even know what a Sega Genesis is, since the Xbox and PS2 are apparently "old school"
I have an SNES and Genesis hooked up to the same HDTV as my Wii, Ps2 and 360. I also have Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on 360.

I LOVE Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition. I'll happily take it over Super Street Fighter 2. Hey, I know the first Final Fight doesn't have multiplayer(as I boguht it without knowing this, wanting to play with my friends), what about Final Fight Guy? Streets of Rage just isn't my thing (I have SoR2)

Also, Road Rash 2 ftw.

Sorry for double post, as I don't know how to multi-quote, but I think we can all agree, Grunty was freaking HAWT whenever you lost in that game... I remember getting Game Over many times just to see that clip when I was young...

No, nostalgia is the same as it always was.

Just because I'm young doesn't necessarily mean that I don't have good memories of times long gone.

Nostalgia: Playing the fun and addicting Super Mario 64, Kirby 64, Banjo-Kazooie, the Better Banjo-Tooie and Paper Mario... The N64 to me is the Master Video Game Console that No Console I have seen since has been able to match.

Wait... Diddy Kong Racing wasn't liked by the critics? How is that possible? That game was freaking awesome...

Timesplitters is and shall remain my favorite series ever.

Funny characters, fun gameplay, fun and funny story, insanely fun multiplayer with support for bot play and 4 player split screen, ridiculously easy to use mapmaker, and home to one of my two most favorite soundtracks ever.

You will never convince me that there is a better game series than this.

Man I envy you guys that are too young to watch gaming itself evolve from low bit systems. On one hand you will never show pac-man, pong, space invaders, astroids, or megalomania the true respect but you got to skip ahead and go right to the good stuff. (If you started with anything SNES ->)

SNES is one of my fondest Nostalgias. I was mesmorised by the whole systems game library. The Genesis was nice but SNES was just so freakin classy to me. In my mind I would lick my finger and press it against my SNES everyday letting out a "tssssssssss" on contact. Ren & Stimpy Time Warped, Super Mario World blew my mind, Joe & Mac 2, Earthbound, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Battletoads, Chrono Trigger, Metroid, FFIII (VI) etc. That list is pretty long.

My other fond nostalgia time came in my teen years when the glory of the PS1 showed up and while I was trying hard to stay a Nintendo fanboy there was no denying PS's right to reign over the industry in the following years. The list gets longer here. MEMORY CARDS! I owned like 4 of em which isn't many comparatively. I loved em though for some silly reason. X-Com had a great port, Tomb Raider revolutionized things (remember saying "Tomb Raider view" refering to 3rd person over the shoulder?) Tomb Raider 2 spiced it up even more, Gran Turismo (It looks so real! :p I used to watch every race over again from start to finish because it looked so good.) Again this list could go on for a while.

Ah nostalgia you slick mistress.
