I'll respond in analysis of each point.Booze Zombie said:I am quite excited about Fable 3, though I have no idea what any of it will be like...
Still, I took the time to write a letter to Lionhead Studios in the hope that Peter. M would read it, here is a copy for you to peruse:
"Dear Peter. M, I would like to request (see:beg) for the following improvements to be made to Fable 3 over the previous games:
An open world environment similar to Oblivion, Saints Row 2 or Just Cause.
A co-op experience with a leash about a mile longer than that of the second game and more meaningful interactions allowed for the second player.
A more in depth selection of magic, weapons, skills and clothing.
An improved camera!(one, one)
Perhaps some kind of class system where in all characters have basic levels they can learn in most skills, but only those with the appropriate classes can reach the higher levels.
E.g: A necromancer could take some toughness, but not as much as a warrior, the wizard could learn some necromancy, but not as much as a necromancer.
(Please add more necromancy to the game, the undead are just so damn awesome.)
A fracking character customization system perhaps closer to The Sims 3 than Barbie (face options, skin colour, etc).
Thank you for your time.
- Booze Zombie"
Do you agree with my requests for improvment, disagree or simply not care about Fable 3?
I was pissed off at Reaver, but for different reasons than you'd think. Rather than thinking "Oh my God, you stole my opportunity for revenge!" I was thinking "Do you mind, I was listening to that Hannibal lecture."zacaron said:the ending of fable 2 was a joke I killed the boss by mistake when I acadentaly fired my gun halfway through his speach
The class system I had envisioned was more like "right, so everyone can learn most skills up to level 5 (average) but if you want to be above average in a skill you need to have a class with that skill".Mad Maniac with axe-firing chainsaw said:Class system: Not the best way forward in my humble opinion. What I'd do instead is decide that you don't get general experience. You only get better at strength by using strength related attacks, and the same goes for the other attributes. Some might even require the commitment of two types of experience (You need to be skillful enough to make use of being physically more agile.
One problem with that - Molyneux thought Fable 1 and 2 were really awesome.ohgodalex said:Or you could write
"Dear Peter M.
Please make Fable 3 really awesome.

everyone ever."
Most definitely. Reaver's semi-immortal, so it'd work.GeoPB said:Also, keep Stephen Fry.
On this very site, actually.Srkkl said:They said they are going to try and stray from fable. I have no clue where you got the idea of a Fable 3 even though they are probably going to make it eventually.
That could work. I just don't think players will appreciate the restricted freedom. Any restricted freedom. It would lead to more specialisation, but its a kind of forced specialisation as opposed to one made from freedom of choice (actively deciding "I am going to be a warrior.)Booze Zombie said:The class system I had envisioned was more like "right, so everyone can learn up to level 5 (average) but if you want to be above average in a skill you need to have a class with that skill".Mad Maniac with axe-firing chainsaw said:Class system: Not the best way forward in my humble opinion. Of course this also means some classes would have to have negative skills, that is, ones that build slower and can only be built up to level 4 (below-average).
For instance, a necromancer has focused so exclusively on undeath as his/her power that he/she can barely use any other kinds of magic, to compensate, they can raise their toughness to above-average (6).
Something like that, I think, would be good.
