This is the first game since Black and White eight years ago that's kept me up 'till two in the morning. I love this game.

Incidentally, I'm a bitchin' Will user. All spells at Level 4 or 5, and only just completed that tournament which ended with the Stone Troll.

Also I just got 5-star blacksmith. :D
I just got 5* Blacksmith, too. Listening to the kids roleplaying in the street while I was hammering away was one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

For all its silly little bugs, this is truly a game with a soul, crafted with real heart. And that's pretty rare.

Me too, I'm seriously regretting not picking it up on Friday.

Whenever I was working as a Blacksmith, I heard kept hearing the town crier's pure gold lines.

"The time is now- Um..... Really late!"
"MORRRRNING! Get off your ass and WORK!"

Also, if any of you guys have little sisters, do NOT alert them to the fact that you have a dog. I had to play fetch with mine at least 20 times in one hour at my sister's request.

But it was cute when I was blacksmithing and she started imatating Sparrow.

Despite its flaws:

- No minimap sucks.
- Slow responses in menu.
- If I attack/kill a blatantly evil guy (torture cult) without being provoked somehow, I'm the criminal.
- The emotes hotlinked on the D-pad get switched whenever my dog happens to walk accross/something else, even when engaged in a conversation, it's annoying.

The game makes up for it with:

+ Intro + tutorial (childhood) part of the game,
+ Man it's fun.
+ No mana.
+ Earning money and stuff is nicely done.
+ So far, it's been a nice story and a lovely setting.
+ Character customization.
+ So much to do.

Overall, the game looks stunning, it keeps me busy with entertainment and has a good feel to it. Definitely a good game, but as far as to buy a console over: no, never buy a console for just one game in my opinion. If you're already doubting to buy it and you need one more arguement to tip over, then yes, it is worth it.
I bought a PS3 for MGS4. And I will be reaping the sweet benefits of Resistance 2 beta. :D

Also trolls suck major ass. You cannot be a pure fighter and expect to kill a troll in a reasonable time. Fucking retarded. "YOU HAVE TO HIT MY GLOWING RED WEAK SPOT OR I TURN YOUR ASS INTO A HAT!"

I was gonna get this game for the co-op
Then I found out that you can't play as your character in someone elses game.

That ruined it for me.

You can play as a pants-less female blond?

Am I the only person who accidentally made their character look like a demonic Jack Black? I don't know how it happened.

Mine looks like a fat pirate at the moment :D Wish I could come across a good cutlass+pistol combo to complete the look. Stuck with a rifle and longsword at the moment.

The ending is shit. Pure dog doody.
No boss fight.
I disagree.
The shard and the chase sequence through the cavern more than made up for that. After that was basically just one long interactive cutscene.
I don't think I've been so emotionally affected by a game, ever. Not even Half Life. Maybe it was just because I had such an affinity for the first game, but when I saw
What was left of Oakvale (Also when I discovered that the "tomb" used to be the Guild.)
My jaw literally dropped. It really hit home and showed just how much Albion had changed over 600 years. And when
the Thief killed...What's his name, the picture guy, I wanted to shoot him right there on the spot. Prick.
And then after that when
Lucien kills your dog
my heart completely sank. I wanted to just give up and die right then and there. And
When you actually did die, the ending of the dream sequence really shot me through a loop. So did that demon door outside of Wraithmarsh you need to play the lute for. Peaceful, snowy wonderland and then BAM! Dead people everywhere. Sent shivers down my spine, it did.

im in agreement, although not an RPG fan, this game is awesome, and i've got the bloodshot eyes to tell the tales.

so far it seems time control + skill is ridiculously cheap, i haven't died once.

that aside has anybody cracked many of the demon doors? i've only managed one, and there some (like the one under castle fairfax) that i have no clue about, mebe you have to own it.

and what about those legendary weapons? necro seems to have found one, any spoilers on these?

edit: ... and 2 seconds later i crack a door a find a calavera

...on a much lighter note...has anyone else been noticing an unusual amount of condoms buried in the ground? I find those and apple pies...usually right next to one another. It was a very...awkward moment for me and my dog.

It seems the pirates who buried these "treasures" had... unique tastes.

Can anyone explain
memory lane demon door, the one in rookrodge
to me?

And I agree with everyone saying you should buy it. When the game wants you to feel sad, you feel sad. When it wants you to smile, you smile. It's a very powerful game and at the least you will play it twice.

Also to people who've finished the game, save up and buy
The tower that Garth lived in, it has this weird quest where you meet a talking chest named "Chesty" that wants to kill you, and Bloodstone manor for a really really good secret story
.

I picked up what I think to be a Legendary Weapon. Axe by the name of The Rising Sun. Got it by donating some money to the Temple of Light, saving their arse from the Shadow guys, then donating 11k (A 'large' donation) at the "hour of the sun's zenith" (did it just after noon struck. Got a bunch of Good points and a nice shiny new axe. 61.0 Cutting damage, Normal attack speed, Righteous Violence augment (increased damage vs. evil creatures). It's pretty funky on the whole, though I'll probably be replacing it once I grab one of those shiny Master weapons.

Edit: Just replaced it, amusingly. Master Longsword with Golden Touch and Lucky Charm augments is a far superior choice.

I've only managed to find two, only one of which I could get open. The other one, which I've forgotten the location of, said it wanted meat, and I tried to give it meat but a little window kept popping up telling me I can only give gifts to people who will accept them, so I have no idea how I'm supposed to give it to him.

There are three chickens nearby, kick them towards the door repeatedly. Eventually he'll let you in to claim your reward (A bunch of EXP potions if I recall correctly)

I'll help with demon doors, though I only know some:

In Oakfield near the waterfront there's one that wants to see you propose to someone.

In Rookridge there's one that wants you to get your dog to do tricks. (Out of rookridge tavern keep heading left, it's a bit off the path, hard to miss)

Under Castle Fairfax, you have to open all others.

In Wraithmarsh, you have to play the lute. (Just before you go over the hill where you can see Bloodstone)

In The Cemetary, you have to kick a chicken at the door. (main cemetary entrance, forward until you see a small path to your right)

In brightwood(Follow the north path from Westcliff road until you reach a lake with many bandits and a path to your left) you have to get dreadlocks(bloodstone), mutton chops, a tart skirt(Bloodstone), a noble shirt and a yokel hat (oakfield trader).

As you complete more the one under castle Fairfax will reveal the location of the rest.

Ohhhhh. See, he never specified what kind of meat. Now I just have to go find him again.

Also, does anyone have the exact quote from the beginning
(and end) after you get shot by Lucien both times.
of the game? "Death is not your destiny..." something. I can't remember the rest.
