Well, I've never heard of that happening, but I will say that doing that kind of thing over Facebook is much easier.
there are 28 ways to contact you, but your just being stubborn. I wouldnt contact you...not unless we were really close. I mean, back when none of my friends had facebook it was different, but its a major pain to go out of your way for one person who could make one in five seconds. your already a member of 28 useless networking/forums/god knows what sitesWOPR said:That would be "get a facebook" not "get facebook" I can't go out and buy the site, and it's not like I DON'T have access to it already.Alon Shechter said:Crazy, yet very easy idea and I'm just throwing it out there...
GET FACEBOOK.
But hey, when there are 28 ways to contact me, if you're too lazy to send me something instead of just "facebook'ing" it, then you're/it's not worth my time.
Okay, I'm going to take this one with some seriousness, so that when you see my lay the hate on Facebook, you know where I'm coming from.WOPR said:has anyone else ever been in this problem is what I'm asking...
I personally don't like or have the time for a facebook just to get it out of the way right now
now the situation
There was a D&D party and I get a phone call
it goes like this
Him: "Dude where were you? Why wern't you at the party we sent out an invite"
Me: "Well I didn't get it"
Him: "Well everyone else did, what the heck?"
Me: "You sent it over facebook didn't you..."
Him: "Yeah why?"
Me: "You know I don't have a facebook"
Him: "Oh, well how the heck was I supposed to contact you then?"
Me: "Maybe call me like you did just now, send me an email, PM me through youtube, the escapist, newgrounds, send me a message though my xbox, steam, wii, you could have even skyped me"
so has anyone else had that happen?
...or are you all on the side that "I should have a facebook"
Alright I'll throw my hands up you've got me thereTankichi said:I have a Facebook account but only because i made it for a joke. I don't actually use it aside from having 2 people as friends. My friends know to call me or text me. Also....You don't have time for Facebook but have time for D&D and D&D parties? I haven't played D&D in years but last i checked one session of D&D was like 7-10 hours. Or is it different for you?
I don't have any of my own equipment! it's all my friend Scorpions! (using screen-names)Tankichi said:I understand the rest but not going to airsoft wars is just despicable. I demand you go and start one right now.
Concur. It's not like you'd complain about people expecting you to have a mobile phone these days, is it?MR T3D said:no, got facebook, and check it like email, its not that hard, when it comes to social interaction, one does have to conform to certain norms, and having a facebook page is one of them.
DEAL WITH IT
Yes actually I would, being that I can't afford one and my home-phone is dirt cheap.Wicky_42 said:Concur. Setting up a Facebook account takes all of about five minutes. When someone sends out an event invite to members of their friends list, those friends receive an email. I've just quoted you in saying that you asked your friend to send you an email. So since you have time to check email, take five minutes out of your life to set up an account and whenever someone sends you an event invite you will receive an email.WOPR said:Me: "Maybe call me like you did just now, send me an email"

Claiming not to have time for Facebook while in the same breath claiming to have time for a D&D party makes not one ounce of sense. You seem to be complaining just for the sake of complaining.
