Heh. The hilarious thing is that they are both guilty of a thousand and one privacy violations. I wish the feds regulated something important, like net neutrality, instead of something unimportant, like drugs...

WO-HOOO!
I love when stuff like this happens on such a large scale!
And the fact that I despise facebook (and don't care much for google either) just makes it funnier! :)

Google is far less evil at this point in time then Facebook. I hope Google wins any inevitable lawsuits from this coming war.

Facebook and social networking like it is trash and needs to die. I love how Facebook claims ownership rights of basically anything posted on its site, even after you delete it. Classic stuff. Hope all the Facebook whores enjoy having their lives ruined by posting it all online pretending people give a shit about it.

Heh, you could almost imagine Facebook and Google being kids in kindergarten.

"Facebook, did you tell lies about Google to make the other kids turn on him?"

"I... I... but... he started it! He... he knows what people look for. And he remembers it!"

"Facebook, you've got personal datas of millions and you are not exactly keeping them locked in Fort Knox."

"But it's all Google's fault!"

I don't know the full story on this, so I probably shouldn't say anything. But I mean really... Is it so much that Google is "violating privacy standards", or are they just "cleaning up" one of Facebook's many leaks, so to speak? Because come on, every other story I hear about Facebook is about some personal info leak they had.

"Take, for example, the debacle Facebook finds itself in after a PR firm in the employ of the social networking giant was caught spreading malicious stories about rival Internet megacorporation Google."

"Facebook accuses Google of violating privacy standards..."
Now I know why, when I picture Facebook's owners, CEOs, and PR team, I see this:

I mean really. This is just too funny. Facebook versus Google? It's literally the "interwebs" version of clash of the titans. I foresee hilarious fallout from this debacle.

Spreading rumours, claiming that 'they started it'

So is the world of internet business always exactly like high school?

Facebook says Google is doing things in social networking that raise privacy concerns? Considering the news concerning Facebook lately, this is a very inept attempt to spin things.
It obviously takes one to know one.
there shall be one king to rule it all...

This is brilliant. Also, given the choices, I'll pick Google. There's a reason the term "zuckerpunch" was suggested as a less polite alternative to "evil interface".

well theres only one sensible way to resolve this, each company nominates a representative and they will proceed to fight to the death. winner take all kind of situation.

Google has yet to officially respond to these revelations,
as they haven't stopped laughing yet,

With all the love for Google, and all the hatred for Facebook, I don't get why orkut, Google's social network (that I think actually predates Facebook) isn't bigger..

I hope Google wins. Google is the least evilest.
Pretty much this. Google seems to have this indestructible aura about it.
