" "First, because it believes Google is doing some things in social networking that raise privacy concerns"

You fucking dumbass asshole! FACEBOOK is a much worse offender when it comes to that!

They randomly change your privacy settings and a lot of other stuff.

At least Google has proven that it won't bend over to governments: It told CHina, Tough luck.

WIth talk of a, "Chinese Facebook" company(rival to our Facebook) I can see FB bending over for China in a freakin' heartbeat.

Haha, oh wow. Facebook accusing Google over privacy concerns? I think there is something of a contradiction here.

Well, let them fight it out in the Thunderdome. Winner gets Myspace.

Google IS invading peoples privacy...Thing is... People seemingly dont care what wrongs are done mto them, so long as they like the people screwing them over, See Google. And while your at it, see Valve and Steam.

Is facebook in the right here? No, it should have the grace to die with dignity much the way Myspace had the decency to do. But It doesnt mean google is innocent in these accusations.

I say perform a little social experiment. Turn off google for a week and watch the inept masses scurry like cockroaches as they cant remember how to actually do anything on their own on the internet, and then you will see people dont care if google actually does anything wrong to them or not.

NOOOOO! Don't take Google from us! You already have the entire younger generation and enough money to buy Mercury, what else do you want?

This was obviously going to come about sooner or later. Facebook is the social networking king, google is the search engine king. The internet only needs one "king".
When I read "internet only needs" my mind first went to rule 34... and now I'm imagining Google-Facebook slash fan fiction and cringing and laughing at the same time.

Ew.

Well if that's not the pot calling the Kettle black. To be honest if google whipped facebook off the map I'd be slightly happier... I'd have at least 2 hrs of my day back.

So... facebook is seriously calling google out on a: using the data facebook conned out of people, and b: infringing on people's privacy. Really, facebook? Seriously? That's you case?

"Google is doing some things in social networking that raise privacy concerns"

The irony of that statement coming from Facebook is immense.

Facebook is accusing someone else of privacy violations?

I can describe them in one word: hypocrites!

Google is far less evil at this point in time then Facebook. I hope Google wins any inevitable lawsuits from this coming war.

Facebook and social networking like it is trash and needs to die. I love how Facebook claims ownership rights of basically anything posted on its site, even after you delete it. Classic stuff. Hope all the Facebook whores enjoy having their lives ruined by posting it all online pretending people give a shit about it.
Myself and many other people I know use Facebook as an MSN Replacement. Its much easier to remember someones name than an arbitrary email address.

God Microsoft bought skype too. Another communication down the drain. D:

We already know about Google and their privacy issue - it was called Google Wave and thankfully its no more.

Either way I trust Google a lot more than Facebook, thats for sure.

Facebook trying to smear Google about privacy issues is like vomit telling faeces that it smells bad.

Hello, Kettle? This is Pot. You're black.

Seriously Facebook? This is goddamned shameful. Especially considering your own massive privacy problems that seem to pop up every 2 months.

Ah, crazy big companies, what are you up to next?
I guess it's really important for them to weaken Google, rather than making their services securer and better... oh well.

Wait, Facebook did this? As if I needed more reasons to think Facebook is evil and Zuckerburg is an arsehole.
