EDIT:im not crushing, were just friends. also she called me self "sentered" and pathetic and a jerk. even though i always help her with her problems and talk her threw them. so im like the hell?

I shall answer your question in chronological order as best I can:

I think she's getting a vibe that you say things but you think another/ hiding some important feeling from her. I know a few people who seem to imply things while saying seemingly innocent things or who say things behind my back. Don't think it makes a difference.you should feel free to use capital letters and full stops when appropiate; everything is fine otherwise.

I hate when people say stupid shit like that and don't explain. like once I was told "I like it that you like me but I don't like you" by a girl. WTF!? I kinda get what she means but I don't really get it. Like, you like the idea, but not me? Idk... I assume u liked her or something, but what were the circumstances? Did you ask her out or something or is she just a friend or something?

Maybe she thinks you don't act like how you really are. That you act differently around different people?

Let me translate:

"I enjoy the attention a crush gets me, but I'm a ***** and would never actually give you a chance. If you could still worship the ground I walk on, though, that'd be sweet and I'd consider going out with you! *whispers*Not really, though.*whispers*

Eh... I hate stuff like that. Backhanded comments. If you don't have something kind to say, don't try and dress it up as something kind. Just say it.

1: Fake people are people who act like something when they're really not. Like, if everyone likes rap music and you really don't, you'll pretend you like rap music to fit in. Fitting in, trying to make friends/girlfriends, or just to be an asshole are reasons why people might be fake. It can also mean two-faced or a poser.
2: I know plenty of fake people. I can't stand them.
3: Hell no, butter for the win.
4: Yes, if you're going to go on the internet you need to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. People hate it if they have to decipher a code that you have written your message in.

What makes a fake person is the belief that they, themselves, are not fake. With so many humans buzzing about like so many flies, it would make sense that a good deal of us be the same. To refuse this is to simply be ignorant to the fact that individuality is a concept that can never be truly realised.

Once we accept this, we will be much happier.

Yeah I know I was just saying. It is fucking annoying and adds insult to injury, especially since I still had feelings for her (and still do a little bit) She's still my friend and I still kinda like her (mainly because no one else has caught my interest), but that statement really pissed me off and made me feel bad. I also hate how it seems like girls are obsessed with looks and popularity. If you're not popular or look good then you're out with most girls. That girl I was talking about who said that wasn't very popular and wasn't some stupid hot bimbo, but I would bet if I looked like some fucking model she would've gone out with me. And it sucks because most people who aren't super popular (I have lot's of friends I'm just not some preppy asshole) or super hot (I am not) have great personalities (I'd say I do) but most girls don't see that :(

Isn't everyone fake? We all act differently around certain people, there's no use in anyone pretending they don't. It makes sense to tell someone they're very fake, or too fake, but never just to call them fake as a backhanded comment.

Fake people are people that spend too much time faffing around with lies, mistruths or over-the-top tact instead of just saying what they mean when they mean to say it.

And don't worry yourself too much over it, it seems to be that 90% of females are completely mad as pants and love to play the mind games like this.

And margerine is the devil's work. Butter FTW.

Everyone is fake to some degree in some situations. Knowing how to lie well and/or adapt is key to quickly/safely progressing through some experiences in life. At work, I feign being a good, diligent worker, knowing that being observably lazy would get me fired. At home, I'm a somewhat lazy **** who is suddenly much less lazy when asked to do something by the wife, because I enjoy not sleeping on the couch. When out with friends, I pretend to give a shit about baseball when the subject comes up. C'est la vie.

In my humble opinion, a fake person is someone who pretends to be overly nice or perfect when it is painfully obvious they are purposefully trying to seem that way, and just come off looking quite two-faced in the end.

Well looks are important too. Sorry man but people who say looks don't matter are lying to themselves. You simply can't date someone you find unnatractive. And as "unmanly" as it might sound, try paying attention to how you look, there are ways to "look good" without working out 24/7 and looking like a male model or the stereotypical popular sport dude.

If you don't mind me asking, are you in high school? If so, don't worry. When college comes around, things change. You still get the really shallow people, and everyone is still shallow to an extent (even you, don't deny it :p) but it's much, much easier to find girls that are willing to date you in college. You just have to know where to look and keep an open mind.

I think it's pretty clearly a "I'm flattered that you like me - but I'm not into you." Thems the breaks. At least she was pretty straight up about it. She could have taken the easy way out by stringing you along.

To the OP: Well, that's got to suck. I mean, being called fake is a pretty invalidating experience. You're a real person with genuine feelings - you get hurt when people say stupid shit like that - maybe you should make that clear when people call you fake. I don't know.

When I first saw the title, I immediately thought "those damn robots again."

On topic: I get the concept of calling someone "fake", but I hate the use of it. What does that make me?
