The option to really customise your character. I'm talking whether or not you want them to be a Vault-Dweller, a Wastelander or even a Ghoul.

Still, they could tone down the power of....power armor.
What, even further? To the point that it is completely useless?
The Power Armor was made to replace TANKS. In the first two games, PA was super effective.
In FO3, it's largely useless, due to the fact that it is heavy, and the Ranger Battle Armor outclasses the BoS stuff.
Exactly, PA was crap in 3 compared to the first two. Advanced Power Armor in FO2 was crazy powerful, but even then you could take a guy in it out with a guass rifle to the eye in one hit. That's the other thing I really missed. I loved that gauss rifle and gauss pistol. I always went long distance sniping with my character and would either carry a hunting rifle and pistol that used hunting rifle ammo or a guass rifle/pistol combo. Nothing could touch me (except for 5 enclave with heavy plasmas). PA got nerfed incredibly hard in FO 3. Even the Hellfire PA from Broken Steel was barely worth it IMO. At least that one didn't nerf your agility...

What Would you what in fallout 4 and what place were you would what it to happen.
But guys no outlandish answers , Fallout London is not happening anytime soon (Not that I would not what it)
I think Co-op , Vehicles, sandbox and join what ever side you what
A much improved stealth mechanic, and improved melee mechanics.
No reason you can't aim for a spot with unarmed in VATS, as is it makes the melee weapons much less interesting.

I don't care where they place it but I think they should start pushing the story forward, with either the environment and society starting to recover or breaking down to a degree where even the little life there was in previous games is now becoming extinct.

No, no, no, no No NO!

They should be dead by now. I don't want to fight them again, or even join them.
It made some sense that they were in D.C., but it wouldn't make any for them to be a power at this point.

They would still exsist to a degree, but they would not have the power to be the main antagonist, or even a minor one given their main goal would be hiding untill they could do anything worth a dam.

They are weak and powerless, but not dead.

Bad choice of words on my part, I apologize.

I wouldn't mind if they were like an easter egg, hidden in some cave somewhere.

It shouldn't nerf your agility at all.
It's POWER armor, which should make it easier to move.
They seemed to think that it should make you slightly stronger (hense the +1 str on the enclave armor (which is supposed to be ADVANCED POWER ARMOR (sorry caps, making a point, not yelling)) but at the same time it's harder to move in an agile way since the joints are mechanized and would move at a slightly slower pace then a human. I can understand it with the standard power armor, the BOS version, seeming as it's actually pretty clunky. The advanced enclave power armor, which was supposed to be sleek and an upgrade shouldn't have really hindered you at all.

:sigh: in the end they tried for a balance I guess with one being more powerful, but clunkier, and the other being less powerful, but sleeker. You're a freakin' walking tank. Since when did tanks move at a walking speed with a complete lack of agility? Last research I did, the M1 Abrams', Merkava and Challenger II's were actually quite nimble and still heavily armed / armored. Quite stupid honestly.

I want vehicles, massive casino shootouts and being able to shoot porno movies. Like in the good old days.

I have never played the older Fallout games, but I wish I had from what I heard about them, I am jealous if people who have. Fallout 3 is nice, but it could have been better. More customization, better dialogue choices. Just simple things that could have made a good game into a great game.

The FO2 APAII gave you +4 to strength and +75 radiation resistance.

The FO3 APAII gave you +1 to strength, and -1 to agility, with +20 rad resistance.

It's totally backward!

-Radioactivity: amount depends a bit on timeline, but there should be less emphasis on it than in 3. Essentially, only a few big areas and much of the food would give radiation, and ideally the player wouldn't start with a Geiger counter to know about it (so it should take longer to accrue, but be harder to detect; make player actually pay attention to Radiation symbols)
well, you're person has a different Pipboy model, you get the Geiger counter built into it, probably learnt how it worked from a text book. Vault tech knew what they were doing (please don't debate me on this)

now, I think the main character is a bit too powerful, compared to the original games where you needed to save every 10 metres, but in real time I wouldn't be suddenly surrounded by raiders and I won't get hit by every bullet from a minigun volley when anything hits. if the character was weakened then they would need to take back the ability to heal by waiting anywhere, otherwise, well, you know, pain and such

the super mutants and brotherhood of steel aren't nearly as powerful as they were before. nowadays I can brutally take out half a dozen with Stabhappy without stimpacks or power armour

and some folks think it's unlikely for Bethesda to make a new engine. I'll have you know they made a new engine for each Elder scrolls game. Bethesda can make a better one, you know why? because they're utter nerds who have enough money and programmers to make whatever they want until they say it's done (not really, but whatever)

I think it's appropriate to believe humans have been pushed back again and again, having to rebuild their society

and the people at Bethesda did some testing with Melee VATS, concentrating on body parts, I think they made the right choice

Well, they recently bought ID software's engine.

choosing different background possibilities that determine more about the character you are: For instance, you could start as a vault dweller, a broken steel knight, an enclave soldier, a wastelander, or an asshole slaver / raider. They would have different sub-classes divided under each background possibility that would define the possible ways to play the game. I.E.: The Enclave or Broken Steel characters could be knights/tanks/marksman, etc. ; the raiders could be the thief/ranger, etc. ; the wastelander or vault dweller could have classes ranging in between with vault dwellers specializing in technology/computers/hacking, etc. while the wastelanders could specialize in human interaction/barter/extra rad resistance, etc. I dunno. Just broad strokes that I think could be a cool idea
They have a mod for that ! Its called alternate start :roleplayers
and I would like a system like that !

I want Beth to put at least some thought into it, rather than just recycling ideas from the older games...
cmon' on man they were remnants of the pre war government its going to take a couple more oil derrenks and tiny bases to do that !

I really think that any new Fallout games should take place in Ronto or the commonwealth, due to the numerous references in F3 to them.

And I think that the Eerie Strip would have been Point Lookout, as the name kinda fits. I also can't remember where The Eerie Strip was referenced in the game but I know it was.
