This hits the point on the head exactly. In fallout 3, character's interacted with you like talking zombies. That was probably my favorite part. I'm fairly certain that, if my odds at any given moment to sleep with my girlfriend were hovering around 5% and I then lied to her, my odds would not then improve if I just demanded sex. Or maybe they would. I guess that would make for an incredible social experiment.
