I understand that RPGs now a day have to be immersive for the player, but doesn't every RPG on earth make this promise?

I'm pretty sure Peter Molynuex made this very same statement about Fable 2, what was the final decision the game gave you again? Revive everyone who died in the main storyline or get 300,000 coins?

Sooo...I'm thinking along the lines of "this town gives away water to the thirsty, but also keeps slaves" sorta dealie? because devs always seem to get lazy when it comes to morality.

Oh, I just got my dog back and told the world to fuck its stupid self.

edit: seriously, me and my dog went on a celebratory killing spree when we were reunited

Then you can see which side of the spectrum that would fall under =P

I have no doubt Obsidian will do far better than Bethesda in terms of RPG aspects and story.

However the game will most likely have even more bugs, which would actually be some kind of accomplishment.
I heard Bethesda are the ones bughunting and testing the game. So it should be a little buggy rather then gamebroken buggy ;)

Because honestly people, Fallout, Oblivion and any rpg released by Bethesda have been a mire of bugs and faults.

True, but Eden was in charge of the Enclave, not Autumn. Well, for most of the game anyway.
Debatable. The men always had followed Autumn, Senior or Junior. And since Autumn generally did what Eden asked....

Not that I really remember this being explained anywhere. During my playthrough I must have missed whatever information was central to understanding whatever crackpot scheme the Enclave were concocting.

also they have a giant mutant in a power armor walking around killing random people just for the fun of it until the nerds of the enclave get to the whole murdering everyone ever plan.
Who is also voiced by Micheal Dorn. Who is also coming back to reprise his role as Marcus in this one.

I'm pretty sure the men followed Eden first. He was the president after all. Autumn was actually using you to kill Eden so he could take over. Of course, that was made easier by the fact that Eden was sort of using you to kill him(its?)self, because apparently Eden sort of realized how crazy it was.

I dunno, it was a mess.

wait you werent clear on why the enclave were bad? you mean besides the fact that they killed your dad, wanted to kill all mutants (eg everyone/thing that hasnt been sheltered from the radiation), created the super mutants, ran horrible experiments on humans in vaults while working with vault tech, as well as dozens of other offenses in other games? any way its refreshing to see this at least so yay bethesda.

That doesn't exactly inspire much confidence ;)

Its an Obsidian game on a Bethesda engine. There will be bugs. Lots of bugs.

I have NEVER felt any attachment to an in-game pet before (or since) fable 2.
He was the bestest doggie ever...*sniff*...he loved my jokes, and even helped me with some of them...and when we were reunited, at the cost of hundreds and thousands of lives, well, I just felt angry at the in-game world for allowing this to happen! so we killed them all. Or tried to...but for some damn reason the villagers/guards just kept respawning.

I was never entirely clear on what was so bad about the Enclave, either.
Didn't they want to enslave the populace by controlling the water supply? That's what I thought it was at least.
actually the enclave is splintered. there is an evil AND good enclave. the good enclave however is rare because they rarely come out because they are busy reuniting the wasteland and rebuilding cities.
LOL you toally misread the Enclave. The ones that did not want to use the virus were lead by the guy that killed a woman just to force the Dad to surrender the purrifier to their control, and was willing to kill you to get the password from you. If that is "good" you must think Stalin was a great guy.
i wasn't talking about the DC enclave. i am talking about the MIDWEST ENCLAVE. the mid-west enclave are the good ones while the west coast enclave which came to DC are the evil ones.
Bah! better to be safe and kill any enclave mofo I see with fire. And then send those ashes to space.

I didn't expect "Black and White" morality in New Vegas. "Black and Grey", perhaps; I didn't expect the NCR to be perfect (far from it), but given how Caesar's Legion is supposedly a slaver faction, you'd think they'd be blatant "bad karma" types. If this proves to be a case of "Grey and Gray Morality", I will be pleasantly surprised. I loved how such a situation played out in Fallout 3's "The Pitt" DLC (wherein, to my surprise, I wholeheartedly sided with the slavers!) and would love to see a similar quandary in New Vegas.

Ok how about the West Coast Enclave, slaughtering civilians right in front of you? The Enclave has always been bad in the Fallout games. I did not play Tactics, maybe that was an exception, but even if its 2/3 of the Enclave thats bad, thats a clear majority.
