But does it fix all the issues? That is the real question...
yeah, I heard Xbox Live has free patches for those glitches, so it might be a smart thing to do if Ultimate Edition also has those patches as well.
Hmm. do I detect sarcasm or am I reading too far into it?

My point stands because as of now, the game still has major issues (on my end at least) fully patched. I crash from time to time on various points, NPC's wig out or just stand stock still. I've had many saves get corrupted from auto-save while zoning freezes... all in all the game still has its bugs and I wonder if they're going to attempt to fix them at all...

Those kinds of bugs are usually caught in quality control testing, but since they only have 1 Q.A tester who only comes in once a week for an hour or so, you can't expect them to find all the bugs.

Funny thing is, even after I shell out for the weapon packs I'll still have only paid about $40 for this game, so this pack holds no interest for me. Nice to see Bethesda keep up on releasing all of their games with the DLC as one big pack after the dust from initial sales has started to slow, it's nice and convenient for people that waited it out.

so is mine and I held off the DLC as I knew this was coming just like fallout 3 (I prefer physical media to DLC)

This is awesome. I was going to buy the DLCs but now I can just do this and even get some extras I didn't plan on buying.

I thought this article was gonna be about a pornographic parody.
That would be a bit redundant, as the game can already be quite pornographic with mods.

I've been tempted to get New Vegas before so I think I'll wait til February now to get the dlc for free with this version. Makes things soooo much simpler and I'm cheap like that anyway.

welp, looks like my plan of waiting a year pays off again....shame I physically can't do that for Skyrim.

Anyway, all the DLC looks pretty interesting, looking forward to it.

Kinda annoying for all these people to be QQing about the bugs.

Have you actually played New Vegas, or are you content with passing off a reviewers opinion as your own? Bethesda and Obsidian have been very good with their patches for this game, which brings the glitches down to the miniscule level. Occasionally, a scorpion will protrude half below/half above the surface, but I've honestly had less issues with New Vegas than I did with Fallout 3.

Most of the people QQing about the bugs were people from day 1, where even then the glithes were sparadic, at best. The people who still complain about them are either people who havent played it, people who havent played it since its initial release, or nitpickers.

Ive personally never had it lock up on me or anything stupid like that. Yes, its not perfect, but its still a pretty damn good game.

On that note, with the whiny-crybaby gamer community, I can see why this didn't reach Game of the Year status. Which kinda sucks, it was leaps and bounds over Fallout 3, which was still a beast game. While I havent picked up the DLC for New Vegas yet, it would be pretty much the same price for the disk as the DLC. Not too bad a deal.

Hmm.. I currently have PS3 New Vegas without any DLC. I'm interested in selling the one I have currently and buying the Ultimate Edition. This way it would be cheaper than buying DLC's separately. The question is, will my saved games transfer from the normal New Vegas to the future Ultimate Edition one?

So by ultimate, do they mean "Playable"? Because last time I checked, this is Bethesda and Obsidian we're talking here.
By "playable"... do you mean that it will run?
Then yes.
Will it run for 20 mins without crashing?
No.

The PC might work okay with some modding.

On my first playthrough I got a glitch during the final mission. A door I needed didn't appear, and since the mission was already started there was no turning back. I was completely stuck and my NV game was over.

Another time, when I went to Nellis Air Base, the Boomers didn't stop firing for a second. I clipped under the ground to get through that and into the base, but even once inside they did not stop firing, and I died during the little cutscene.

Several times I got this glitch where my weapon wouldn't holster, and every time I switched weapons it would fire automatically.

In a number of quests, conversation topics that would allow me to continue didn't appear.

On Black Mountain, talking to the Super Mutant (I forget his name), whether I agreed to help him or not, he responded as if I'd refused.

Got a glitch a couple times where my weapon fired constantly and uncontrollably.

On several occasions the game's FPS lagged so badly that things were just popping in and out of different locations.

Got hung up on scenery countless times.

Companion vanished, never to be found, two or three times.

And there was more I can't remember right now!

New Vegas is quite possibly my favourite game of all time, but the people who complain about bugs aren't just whining about nothing. It's a major issue.

By time I get around to buying this I am sure the price will drop to $29.99 or so.. That's what happened to me with Fallout 3...

Sheesh I am behind on games...
