Hey listen i have a very important question I'm playing fallout new Vegas on xbox 360 but i don't have an Xbox live account (can't afford it) will i still get the patch.
Silver accounts don't cost anything, they will give you access to the updates.

What did I just see?

I'll probably wait until the bugs are more or less fixed before buying it. Granted, I don't think it's out here yet. Besides, I haven't even played Fallout 3 yet. Maybe I should get on that when I get paid next month, seeing as how I just bought 3 games yesterday.

damn right woodsey!! oh so they are working on a patch to finish thier broken game.. well that's great for those with internet capable systems but what about us offline gamers? BAH!
You're on the internet right now. Surely you have a ethernet to connect your Xbox/PS3 to the internet?
If he's like me, his Xbox is in a completely room and he cant connect to live at all with it. My ethernet cable comes like 1 foot out of the wall and it just barely reaches the modem...

However, are you saying that I can connect to Xbox Live even if I just stick an ethernet cable in? I thought I had to have an Xbox live account to do that.
You can download patches, updates, and demos without a gold account. You just can't play multiplayer.

I've found so many bugs, like the game being laggy as hell and freezing itself, and stepping on items to have them rocket away into the sunset, hope they fix this shit soon

Here's a fucking clue:

Fix it before it's released.

Why are we thanking them? People should be lighting torches and grabbing their pitchforks.
If we did that to every game company then yes. I was surprised about how buggy Reach was to be honest, it's the first Halo to be that bad.

The sad thing is that a hell of a lot of games are like this nowadays, and they get away with it because people buy them on release day before finding it out.
What bugs were there on Reach? I'm not sure i found any, and i played it right as soon as i got home on the midnight release. Explains?

And am i the only one who noticed in this youtube clip how the player's vision got blurry when the creepy old man had his head at player's waist-level? so much innuendo can be gleamed from his words too, it was hilarious!

No massive ones, but there were quite a few minor graphical ones (doors not being there, items going through things) and the AI occasionally get stuck on walls/crates until you melee them free.

Like I said before: It's not game-breaking in the slightest, but it does kill immersion.

It's just beautiful at one minute into the video where he says "You'd better tell me if I left anything out of place" and his head is upside down!

well i bought the game this morning ( for xbox 360) and have had a good 5 hours on it. so far i have had very little bugs or glitches, here's the list so far...

:-i was following a certain NPC and suddenly a powder gang member appeared 6 foot away from my character and started shooting.

:-whilst using dynamite in VATS the person i hit flew 50 foot in the air and then floated back down again.. this happened again soon after with a feral ghoul but the ghoul died when it hit the ground.

:-just like fallout 3 when walking around i have been getting those slight pauses where the game stops for a second and you think ' noooooooo.... oh its ok again'

:-a metal girder got stuck under a broken van and started dancing around manically.

yeah it's quite alot but none of the above break the game so im quite happy with it so far.

I'm 15 hours in and I haven't seen anything so show-stopping as to make me say "this game sucks".

On the whole I think Fallout 3's the better of the two games but that has as much to do with Fallout 3 being a masterpiece as with FNV being poor. New Vegas strikes me as a very good game, potentially great with a patch or five, that falls a little short of all-time classic territory (then again, I said the same thing about Fallout 3 before the DLC came out.)

someone worked out a way to get past that particular glitch Jakeinator.

you have to wear an ' old cowboy hat ' before re-entering the strip.I've researched this and most of the people who try the cowboy hat trick manage to beat the glitch.

also some tips that might help people get through the game without many gamebreaking troubles..

turn off all auto saves and just manually save your game on a few slots every few minutes.Rotate the saves so if it crashes or that particular save becomes unusable or corrupt you can reload a previous save from a little while ago.

Yeah yeah yeah, that's great and all, but what about gamers who don't have an internet connection? Despite it's extremely small chance, it IS still a possibility, and those gamers will be stuck with a horribly buggy game just for having the nerve to purchase it on release instead of waiting 6 and a half months for the game of the year edition. As a rather helpful poster put it,

you know, im starting to miss the days when console games couldnt be patched and developers actually had to deliver a working product as is.

glad that your actually rectifying your mistake obsidian, but that doesnt excuse the fact that you keep making it.
