Ok is it just me or is Family guy making Peter unbearably retarded? It seems like the older episodes were better. Peter wasn't quite as stupid it seemed. Oh and on another note, what is your fav. family guy quote? Mine is " Mine says Dear Stewi, Get Out"" Oh thats nice"

Mine just says Lois, and it looks like you just spat on the paper.

Ha, besides, Family guy isnt funny anymore. Peter just annoys me at how stupid he is. That's not comedy.

They probably just listened to their fans...
Brian is supposed to be the normal one.
Peter can go ahead and be fucking retarded for all I care.
I love the show, but I don't really like Peter that much.

Ok, is it just me or is Family guy getting weird? It seems to me like they are pushing Peter more retarded than in the earlier episodes. I enjoyed the older ones more when he wasn't quite as stupid. Well on a side note, what is your favorite Family Guy quote? Mine is "Dear Stewie, Get Out"" Oh Thats Nice".

It's probably because they're running out of ideas. Same thing happened to the Simpsons.

As for my favourite quote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-zxyjZZRjQ&feature=related

I think you have one too many words in the title.

Family Guy has always been weird. There is no "getting" involved here.

Peter has always been barely tolerable. The recent ones are still better than the first couple of series.

I don't think it's that he's more retarded, per say - unlike the Simpsons, when they turned Homer from loveable and naive into full-blown moron with no brain.

It's more that he's become nastier and nastier as the show has gone on. It's not even like 'ignorant' nastiness - he's a genuinely, massively unpleasant person.

In fact, it's amazing Lois hasn't left him, as she's a fairly intelligent and (presumably, given the attention she gets) attractive woman.

To be honest I really haven't noticed family guy lose any humor, as for the quote
Roach "Hey man, I cut you up so bad you gonna wish I no cut you up so bad"
Brian "Wow, those really are some bad roaches"

Peter gets dumber in the same way Homer does, because it gets funnier the stupider they act.

Best quote -

Wife - "How does your oatmeal taste dear?"
Husband - "It tastes a little funny... Oh my God there's a bear in it!"

I know where your coming from but id still happily watch FG. What i cant freakin stand is American Dad.

My fav is;

[silence]
Peter: You gonna eat that stapler?
TV Director: You cant eat a stapl-
Peter: -wanna split it?

Stewie-"THATS NOT FUNNY"

I think that the show just loses it's humor the longer it goes, at least there are a few jokes in the new ones. Maybe.

My favorite Family Guy quote would be when they're watching TV and there was some show showing bloopers and they had the character say "She sells seashells by the seashore."

Girl: Hey [guy's name...I forget it] what does your mom do for a living?
Guy who I forgot name of: Oh she sell seashells by the..
Bear breaks through side of house and mauls him
Peter: Yep, that's a tongue twister alright.

Or my favorite moment was just when Brain asked Lois about her feelings about her marriage and she said, "Eh, I just bottle those feelings up." Then it showed her brain and there was a lump on it going back and forth going, "I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor. I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor. Oh ah ah ah! I'm a tumor."

Yeah... I particularly found that in season 8 brian was put through a lot of emotional crap as if they wanted him to get a part as a character in FF14

Yeah, it's getting really weird. Have you seen the reasonably new Brian and Stewie? Episode? It's rather disturbing.

Ah yes, Flanderization [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Flanderization]. The same thing happened with Homer in The Simpsons, who wasn't that stupid in early episodes. And of course, Flanders himself, who was only mildly religious instead of a loony fundamentalist.

Yes I hate the fact that Stewie is gay, or acts like it. I mean the first time it was hilarious... after that it died...
