Apperently Luke and Leia kissing is not concidered an offence to "family values" . Figures, that's nothing but family.
Well according to the Bible, Humanity is the inbred offspring of Adam and Eve. Then to throw more insult to injury, our genepool was cut yet again with the flood.

So Christians should have NO problem with incest of any kind. Because again, according to the Bible, we are ALL products of incest.

Like Aunt Peg said in a Vintage Porno......"Best to keep it in the Family" And this is one "value" Christians should take to heart.

Anyone who uses the phrase "family values" in a non-sarcastic manner should just migrate to Iran or something, you know, since they hate America so much and have a boner for theocracies.

Where does the hatred and the fear of these people come from? Is their local priest a bit fierce? Did they go to one of those American Christian thought control schools? Was there a man in the park with a surprise in his pants? We may never know.

And naturally these idiots are okay with inbreeding, you can marry your cousin in many states, you can marry your bro only in a few. And it is logical that they are okay with this, many of them would not have existed today if their parents and grand parents had the state of mind to maybe not feel their cousin up that one summer when they were drunk. (????)

I'm not sure if I'm more offended at the homophobia, or the notion that Star Wars games are for children.

While this group trying to lash out is being pretty stupid, they're not being nearly as stupid as the internet trolls looking for any good reason to bash a religion, simply because they don't believe in it. What's worse is that they DO believe it, evidenced by both the direct and un-reasonable discrimination against Christianity, and the constant, almost Freudian level of denial.
Actually the "direct and unreasonable discrimination" is a result of 1) Christians being the largest single group in America, 2) this kind of Christian being remarkably vocal, 3) no, or few, other groups in the Christian community calling these people down for their behaviour, 4)Christians being the only group that gets up in arms about this sort of thing.

Think about it how often do you hear muslim groups launching campaigns against Modern Warfare? Christians are the only religious group I've encountered that has a vocal, uncontested minority that is not content to simply abstain. If you find something morally objectionable be it a game, book, movie, etc. nobody is forcing you to suffer through it, or share it with your children.

The family values people have every right to find what Bioware is doing morally objectionable, hell I'd even support them if all they were doing was encouraging people not to play the game because of it. However when they start trying to dictate what other people should have the opportunity to experience they become pricks deserving of criticism and dare I say ridicule.

Again I like to point out that Christians believe homosexuals are going to Hell, but they never actually act on such a thing,
Ok I know I'm taking this out of context but did anyone else laugh when they got to this line?

"and no sexual situations,"

Other than the beginnings of an incestuous relationship. Besides, it's rated, whether previous Star Wars stuff is "family fare" or not is completely irrelevant.

Annnnd why am I even bothering with this? "Family values" is now synonymous with ignorance and homophobia.

I don't think they understand what "Propaganda" means.

Was there ever a time when "family values" didn't mean "let's act like entitled homophobic assholes?"

Psychic asphyxiation: OK
Bodily mutilation: Just fine
Incest: No problems here
Horrible, grisly aftermath of torture: Acceptable
Murder via firearms: A-OK
Global genocide: Positive confirmation of family values
Gratuitous T&A: Perfect family bonding time

Same-sex marriage: WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN! IT'S AN AFFRONT TO THE INTEGRITY OF THE AMERICAN FAMILY!!

Priorities: Misplaced.

It's this kind of bass ackwards thinking that makes me want to move to Canada...
Remember these are the same people that read the bible and go over stories about 42 children being ripped apart by 2 bears. About the whole issue of "biblical marriage" .. after all if you want to Mary a girl just rape her and pay her father 50 silver.. she is now your bride!

But these "family" groups kinda look over these passages.

Pffftt, I can imagine that if I worked at Bioware it would be a simple action of *select all*, then *delete*.

How is it propaganda? xD

In other news, homophobes don't like it when media so much as hints at homosexuality existing.
haha exactly.

I find it odd how these parents attempt to harbour their children from any form of homsexuality.

But then I suppose it's so they grow up just like their parents?

Eh? "Family Values"? But Families don't have values. Trust me, I've been trying to sale mine for awhile now, but no one's buying.

Incestuous 'Relationship'? You mean when she kissed Luke to annoy Han?

Rule #1 of American organizations: If it contains "Family" in the name, ignore them. They're just homophobic, often religious, fearmongering idiots.

Well, to be fair Iran did complain about BF3 and a Hindu organisation has complained about Asura's wrath. I'd say that that's kinda comparable to American Christian groups complaining about homosexuality, though the christian groups to seem to be more prolifically vocal than most...

Maybe Bioware could make a rebuttal to their email something along the lines of

"Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to...suffering." Welcome to the dark side.

Ok didn't know about those but what's the nature of the complaint? Is it to do with their portrayal in the games, is it because they find some part of the game morally objectionable and are boycotting it, or is it because they find some minor, entirely optional part of the game morally objectionable and demand that everyone subscribe to their morality? The first two I'm ok with, and were that the stance organizations like the FFA were taking I'd actually be defending them, but that last one is a no go.

I actually read the article on the florida family association website and while trying not to vomit my lungs out I noticed one thing. These people are trying to make the gays look like the people harassing BioWare. Are you guys fucking serious? YOU guys are the ones who are harassing BioWare, YOU guys are the extremists, and most of all YOU guys are the bigger dickheads in this argument.

Oh I also have recently done a pretty big school project about propaganda, and this game featuring gay relationships is not propaganda at all, it's just featuring every style of life. The one thing BioWare is not featuring is the entitled bible thumping, douche class. Then BioWare would be the most open minded game developer I've seen in a long time. ;)
