How do you guys like your families?

Because loads of people I know both IRL and on here hate theirs, but I want to know about the rest of the world.

They're not people I'd talk to if I wasn't related to them, but they help out a lot so I make an effort to return the favor.

They're okay at times. My mom is a bit of a neat freak which at times really gets on my tits. My dad is pretty much the most laid-back man ever unless i really do something stupid then he yells at me. I also have two sisters, one older and one younger (that's right i'm the bastard middle child).

There are only a few people I don't like with how many people I see regularly enough. My mom and my uncle (her brother) are probably the biggest ones. My mother's mother admits that she's not thrilled with how her children turned out, but she did her best and still loves them. A lot of people get really obnoxious when you say you don't like your parents.

Edit: For people who want an age reference, I'm 20. My older siblings (21 and 30) have similar feelings about these family members, my maternal grandmother is 86.

I get along well with the rest of my family members with few other exceptions. I get on awesome with my sister, me and my brother are close even though we're prone to petty arguments.

My mother I still respect, as she has shown she can be a somewhat decent person. I don't talk with her much though.
My step-father could burn for all I care. Seriously. He could leave, and I wouldn't bat an eye.
My father has been good to me, although we don't get along all that well normally.
My sister is really annoying, and needs to learn she doesn't rule the world. Because of this, I don't speak with her that often either.

I live with my father and sister full time.

I love my family.

They were always there to help and support me when I went through some rough times. Sure they sometimes bother me, but they sacrifice so much for me to have a better life. How can I turn against them and hate them?

Well my mom is super awesome and I love her.
And while my Dad is divorced from her and not very financially secure, he's always there for me no matter what. Plus my parents settled their differences and became friends mainly for me and my brother's benefit.

So yeah, my mom and dad are amazing.

My brother is annoying, but I guess I love him.

My step-dad is great.

And my half-sister is great.

My (immediate) family rules. Everyone else though... thats a mixed bag.

I get along with my parents great considering I'm fifteen years old. Most of my classmates hate their parents and are moving out as soon as they finish high school.

I also get along well with my brother. We play TF2 and stuff together a lot.

Thay're not so bad ... don't really talk to them as much as I probably should but oh well. They have their decent qualities .. but a lot of annoying ones so I tend to stay out of the way.

my family, is f**ked up but yes I love them none the less, you can't change your family and you only get one mother and father so why complain, learn to love them the way they are.

My parents are ex hippies leading them to meander between paranoia and extreme lenience, often with no apparent explanation. The upshot is that sometimes they are a joy to be with and sometimes they can be hell.

I'd be curious about people's ages when they post. I just sort of figure that hating your family is a tween/teen thing.

I'm 25, and I like them just fine. I also happen to not live in the same city as them and that may have something to do it.
