Are you fucking kidding me? Is Zynga really that evil? Selling fake ice cream cartons for $2.99? That's beyond bull shit; it's just plain criminal. Are the people that run Zynga such a bunch of scammers that they would try to milk (no pun intended) more and more money from people's pockets like that? Aye. Double aye. You know what? This deserves a triple aye. I hope that the people of Zynga are proud of themselves for warranting the first ever triple aye from me and my trademark "aye" system.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one that feels that this is one of the worst scams ever devised. Let me be first to say that the all the people in charge of Zynga, especially the CEO, can go shove large desert cacti in themselves. Preferably cacti of this variety:

make room, I think I might join you.

This is quite possibly the biggest /facepalm moment I've ever had, because it makes me sad to think Zynga is branching out from polluting just facebook with it's scam driven business practices.
Room for 3?

Anywa, While this is stupid, I wouden't say it's makeing me loose faith in humanity, It's just another bit of frozen treats packed into a contaner that has to do with something relevant.

It'll loose populairty in about a month or so.
umm it was stated that the container was empty no frozen treats just a cone that gives you crap on a farming sim no gamer likes at least read the damn thing before commenting.
EDIT: i've read your recent post and the damn thing is labled as ICE CREAM not a code it's false advertising.

this a waste of whatever ice cream containers are made of.
ice cream containers are made out of plastic it's not that hard to figue that out

Tom's obviously joking... Seriously? 80 people (and counting) actually fell for that? There IS ice cream in there, at least 476 ml of it. The code is just a bonus, or they'd only sell the code in 7/11's.
theres no way they would sell 476ml of ice cream for 2.99 i've seen 100-200ml (not actualy sure but i know it's under 400) ice cream containers for that much

Well, then it's some cheap ass ice cream, you can't just say there's x ml/whatever of ice cream/whatever on a box that comes completely empty out of the factory. And besides, why the hell would they sell empty boxes of ice cream with a code on them when they could just print the codes on cards and sell them instead?

Recently I've been seeing commercials on tv about some new nut snack made from nuts grown in farmville.

Edit: I think that the part about it being empty was a joke though, on the link to farmville freak they didn't mention it being empty.
Its a farmville fansite, they're too excited about the code to care theres no ice cream in the carton.
Even so, it says how much ice cream is in the box, and I doubt even Zynga would sell people empty boxes claiming they're full of ice cream.

The government isn't that stupid. There are laws that prevent things like that from happening, and even if there weren't, the corporations aren't that stupid. No one buys a box of ice cream that doesn't have any ice cream in it.

And like i said, it would be much more resource (and money) efficent to print the codes on cards and sell them.

This whole thread (except the original post, that was hilarious)is just... Fail...

i dunno i'm not zenga or whatever there name is i'm 15 and i'm bored besides i really have no faith in our race i wouldn't be surprised if the damn thing was empty. also i still stand by my statement that the price for half a liter of ice cream being $3 is way to cheap that's the price for a card with the code i think the container is just a novelty.

The box promises a pint (473 ml), as you can see.
I'm pretty sure that is false advertising, since anyone can weigh it and prove easily that the air inside of it does not quite weigh anything near that... :p
Milliliters is a measure of volume. It shows how much the container can HOLD. So it's probably legal in that sense.

So this is like buying cash cards for other online games? Seems like it, and I don't see how this is necessarily a bad thing. At least the packaging is nicer XD. That being said, I don't know why this would be deemed as useless. It's no different than a DLC package you can buy for games that add characters or a few new weapons. All of which virtual, all of which similar in real world rewards. Either way I feel unaffected, I don't play Farmville so this cross promotion isn't of an interest to me. However, if a Petville promotion comes about. I might be inclined to buy a couple slurpees ;).

The original article makes no mention of the box being empty, are you sure it's not just ice cream with a bonus code?
