I always have to remain faithful to Elfen Lied.

The ending of the manga was the saddest thing I read.

Indeed. The anime's ending is just put to shame by it... I should have probably watched it first so I had a better opinion of it before the manga.

I thought the anime was done well, except for the ending. I'm sure they intended to go through the entire story, but they stopped it halfway through.

I wonder why, but the anime is still open for another season, should anyone pick it up.

Nah, if the wiki is correct, it was started before the manga was completed and it separated from the manga canon at episode 13. It wasn't intended to be continued.

Fruits Basket. I know its target audience is teenage girls, but this soon-to-be 25 year old man adores the show.

I only wish they made more than one season for the anime. Figures crap like Dragon Ball Z just won't die, but gems like Fruits Basket end early.

The only manga i've read was Hellsing, and that was because I couldn't wait for the next OVA to find out what happens.

Hellsing OVA's are amazing. Alucard is the most badass thing ever and I like Integra so much that I actually dressed as her for Halloween.

I love both the anime and manga for their own merits but Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann might just surpass it if the manga has a crappy ending.

Ah, don't lose hope yet...

Claymore had a gecko ending as well, but its creator Norihiro Yagi is getting a second season made the disregards the non canon.

It can happen, keep hoping =D

I've got a couple that have stood out for me over all of the rubbish ones (and trust me, their's plenty of those), and those are

Darker than Black - Incredibly underrated series, it didn't start out as anything special at first, but then I got more drawn in as the series progressed. I'm actually put off from watching the second series though, as I have heard very mixed things about it, and i'm afraid that it might dampen my love for the series.

Higurashi no naku koro ni - Possibly the most disturbing and downright wrong thing I have seen this side of Elfen lied. I love how its split into different story arc's that all come together in the end, seriously brilliant stuff.

The Slayers - Surprisingly funny, and has bags full of charm. Comes highly recommended.

I like me some Trigun, outlaw star, one piece, spice and wolf, naruto somewhat(its hit and miss sometimes), Ghost hunt, .hack sign, .hack legend of the twilight bracelet, xxxholic,FLCL,Gungrave, and thats about all I can remember at the moment for anime(soo many....).

As for manga, One piece, .hack legend of the twilight bracelet, FLCL, DearS, naruto, History's stongest desciple kenichi, Trigun.
