Anime: Gurren Lagann, no contest.

Manga: I'd have to say Katekyo Hitman REBORN!, even though this new arc is starting to get on my nerves...
How so? I'm enjoying it Throughly, I don't mean to disuade you of your opinion I'm just curious.
Because
both Enma and Daemon Spade are jerks. I liked Enma at first 'cause I thought he would be able to relate to Tsuna, but then he had to go all revenge-rage on us, not even considering that Tsuna may have no idea what the hell was going on (as was the case, we've seen). And Spade just speaks for himself in the newest chapter....

I have listed my absolute favourites here already before, but there are still plenty of anime that I really like (despite having not finished watching them entirely or something).
Rurouni Kenshin (in progress, wanna finish the manga first)
Lucky Star
Claymore (in progress)
Death Note (in progress)
Clannad
Kanon (2006)
K-On!
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Shuffle!
Kino no Tabi
Spice and Wolf
Utawarerumono
Chobits
School Rumble
Cardcaptor Sakura (in progress)
Trigun
Utawarerumono
Great Teacher Onizuka
Haibane Renmei
Serial Experiments Lain
Full Metal Panic
I was thinking of trying Kanon soon, since it was also made by Key, but I haven't watch Haruhi Suzumiya yet (Shame on me). Which one do you think I should try first?

That's difficult to say. I like both of them a lot, and they are quite different. I think I watched Haruhi Suzumiya first, but that's simply because I ran into it earlier than Kanon. I think Haruhi Suzumiya was third anime I ever watched (if you don't include those I watched many, many years ago on tv).

Kanon is beautiful, funny, and a little sad at times. Haruhi Suzumiya is funny, interesting, and weird at times. It's up to you to decide which one to watch first.

One more thing. You remember the hyper rainbow bread from Clannad? Do you remember the "ultimate jam" Nagisa had to go with it? That jam is from Kanon.
Yeah, I actually found out about that because people were freaking out about in youtube comments when I decided to watch that episode (I used to watch on youtube. Sue me.).

I'll probably watch Haruhi first.

I'm starting the first episode now... Wow, 3 minutes of narrating and I still don't even have a vague idea of what the story is about other than the fragments of it tossed around the internet.

Edit: I lol'd when it went to a blue screen when she was changing clothes. I bet some people got pissed.

I can't tell if you're being serious. Either way, that's a no. Are there dragons in Lucky Star? IDK, I've never seen it.

COMPLETELY sarcastic. Slice of life compared to DBKai/DBZ.

I love Negima! as a manga. The anime (at least the first one, which is the one I've seen) was disappointing. Yes it was good and entertaining when treated as its own entity. But compared to the manga it's very lacking. Negima! the manga is really amazing. And the further in you get, the more story-oriented the story becomes. But it never loses that charming ecchi humor aspect that made me love the series in the first place. (Because ecchi can be funny, as Ken Akamatsu has shown us all.)

Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino might just be my favorite anime. It's extremely underrated and people often start off biased against it because they don't like the change in the animation style, which is by no means "bad" but just not quite as good as before. But I honestly preferred Il Teatrino to the original. I looked past the change in animation and found that there was more thorough character development (albeit with a slight change in who to focus on) and the sub-plot rivalry between Triela and Pinnochio was really interesting to watch. Not to mention this serious had me in tears even more than the last one, which is always a sign that I love it.
