Favorite Fallout 3 Weapon

Lincoln's Repeater. It served all of my killing needs for most of the game after I found it. Everything from raiders to Super Mutants to Enclave, it could do the job. The only problem was finding ammo, however. I have the game on PC, so it soon became a non issue after looking up the base id for .44 rounds.

Sniper rifle has to be my favorite - it does degrade and it's impossible to find a steady supply of repair materials the way you can with the hunting rifle, but it's scoped and brilliantly effective at long range.

Follow-up would be Blackhawk, the scoped .44 Magnum you find

Oddly mine is the humble Hunting Rifle, that thing has killed more Supermutants, Robots and killer insects than any other item in my inventory. The only thing it currently sucks against are Radscorpions, but I have a handy dandy sledgehammer for them.

Love the hunting rifle too, has a great sound.

The Shishkebab with Pyromaniac is my favoured weapon for Radscorpions and Mirelurks.

I hate that stupid thing!

Its spread is insanely inaccurate and it has a stupidly long reload after every shot. Ugh. I neer used it during broken stell except to down vetibirds and decorate my house.

My favorite weapon is the Chinese Assault Rifle. I used it for most of the game because of its good damage and easy-to-find ammo.

It really depends on what kind of character I'm playing. And I also didn't really like any of the vanilla Fallout 3 weapons (they weren't very creative or effective), so far, I've only really had fun with weapons introduced by modders and of course, that auto-axe thing introduced in the second DLC.

The jack/Mauler



The Jack: (Put on "the ripper" by Judas Priest)
The Jack is a great weapon,it's special ability is almost too strong. The special ability for those who don't know, is extra limb damage,tacked on to regular damage.

I've repelled overlords, and albino radscorpians with this item of English mystery. the only problem is that i can't simply throw the jack and grind his victim's organ's till the scene of the attack is much like the actual jack the ripper's last murder, all this from a distance. maybe there's a mod to launch rippers from the rock-it launcher....

This weapon is a...force of the very bowels of hell itself. combined with my action boy perk, i can strike twice with this thing,anything human shaped(besides ghoul reavers)can be cut down with one grinding blow.super mutants(on average, please mind that i also have the ninja,and better critical perk)take two shots before going down.

The only creature it seems to have a problem cutting through is the reavers, those unholy ghouls, that could probably take on the behemoths.

Experimental MIRV deserves a special note, just because it's a one-man nuclear carpet bombing machine.

I'm also partial to Vengeance - the unique Gatling Laser. And the Tesla Cannon provides some fun kerplosions.

Actually I found Jack really helpful against the reavers, especially when I got attacked by five at once in the presidential metro.... that sucked!

If you give sydney the note from her father, you get her gun without killing her.

I think my favorite weapons would be the android's plasma rifle and the shishkebab. Slow motion flaming gibs never get old.
