It is THAT awesome, even after ten year. Hmm, but my favorite recent RPG would have to be Mass Effect 2.

Dragon Quest 8.

I wish the series continued just as beautifully, but y'know, microsoft got its hands on it after 8 and just reversed it back to hand-held pixelation.

Oblivion straight away, such a good game, had everything.
Good gameplay awesome graphics and amazing story with expansions worth the money for once.

Star Wars: KOTOR

It was my 1st RPG that I enjoyed...in fact I enjoyed it so much that it holds my personal time record of playing a game in one sitting. 8 hrs, 30 mins.

That was when I decided that it was enough for one day (and I wasn't even off Taris then!)

KOTOR is my #3 game overall (behind the two N64 Zeldas) and still is my favourite RPG. Such a great game.
