Damn you! First someone says the Scout's pistol, then another person takes the P90 and I'm thinking "ok, there's no way that someone is even going to THINK of the Lee Enfield", and here you are. *sigh* I'm leaving.

I really like the sniper rifle in Gears of War...
One shot.
One kill.
One reload.

And the reload feels real for some reason. If you fumble the timing on the active reload you have all the time in the world to curse your useless fingers as the Locust come to chainsaw your face. Greatness!

As for games I've always loved revolvers and bolt action rifles. Such satisfying reloads. I remember playing the first Call of Duty when I fell in love with the Mosin Nagant.

--The Mantis MAC-11 from 007: Quantum of Solace. Something about the "pull charging handle back a bit, replace magazine, pull charging handle all the way and let her rip" sequence of events puts a nice grin on my face.

--Anytime a revolver is reloaded (some good examples: Half-Life 2, MW2, Black)... do I need to explain this one?

--Anytime the "HK Slap" is used (good examples: Military Sniper Rifle MSG90A1 from Left 4 Dead 2, MP5K from Black Ops or The Conduit). Like the revolver reload mentioned above, the HK Slap is just so badass and satisfying it requires no explanation at all.

In other news, you guys reminded me of a manga/anime called Grenadier. This woman was some sort of magical gun(man?) and she kept bullets in between her breasts. So when she'd need to reload, she'd spin around real quick and the bullets would go right into her revolver.

Trippy series, but totally awesome.

Did you know that if you fire one shell from full, you can reload two more? Might be a glitch.

Broke my heart to drop that gun when I got the Heavy Automatic Shotgun.

Oh hells yeah. I love how you'll be like;
'Oh ok I'll just reload...man that was cool, wait why'd it stop? Guess I'll just tap the reload button again and...wait there's still a shot missing, so I'll just re-...WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING!?'

It may be finicky, but it's damn cool.

Actually, if you really look at the gun, it's kinda like a 6 shot revolver. When you reload the thing, you put a shell into one of the "chambers," cycle it into the barrel, then load 4 more. The 6th, bottom chamber isn't loaded, so when you cycle the mag over one round, you can access it to put a shell into it. If you don't you find that you actually have to pause after 4 shots or so to manually cycle the mag over one round. I've found that the best way to reload it is to empty the thing before you reload, then just hold down R to slap in 4 *before* you cycle one into the chamber, *then* load another 2.

It's an astonishingly complicated weapon, and really shows that the dev's put thought into how it works.

I enjoy the FAL in Modern Warfare 2. I just like how he hit out the spent clip with the new clip.
