yeah i like this as well, although i hardly used it in the game

the hellsing reload was good too. i love that game. whens the sequel, does anyone know?

In other news, you guys reminded me of a manga/anime called Grenadier. This woman was some sort of magical gun(man?) and she kept bullets in between her breasts. So when she'd need to reload, she'd spin around real quick and the bullets would go right into her revolver.

Trippy series, but totally awesome.

I've seen scenes for that. Trippy indeed, but fun to look at ;D

Did you know that if you fire one shell from full, you can reload two more? Might be a glitch.

Broke my heart to drop that gun when I got the Heavy Automatic Shotgun.

Oh hells yeah. I love how you'll be like;
'Oh ok I'll just reload...man that was cool, wait why'd it stop? Guess I'll just tap the reload button again and...wait there's still a shot missing, so I'll just re-...WHY IS NOTHING HAPPENING!?'

It may be finicky, but it's damn cool.

Actually, if you really look at the gun, it's kinda like a 6 shot revolver. When you reload the thing, you put a shell into one of the "chambers," cycle it into the barrel, then load 4 more. The 6th, bottom chamber isn't loaded, so when you cycle the mag over one round, you can access it to put a shell into it. If you don't you find that you actually have to pause after 4 shots or so to manually cycle the mag over one round. I've found that the best way to reload it is to empty the thing before you reload, then just hold down R to slap in 4 *before* you cycle one into the chamber, *then* load another 2.

It's an astonishingly complicated weapon, and really shows that the dev's put thought into how it works.

Which is why it should have replaced the Revolver as the standard undroppable. I loved everything about that gun, except (ironically enough) the frequency at which I had to reload.

The guns in Mass Effect 2. You just hit the gun and it was reloaded. It fit the futuristic setting.

How has no one mentioned the spore launcher from Half Life: Opposing Force?

It's a squid thing that eats grenades with a nom-nom sound!


Aside from that I like the Mayan weapons in Perfect Dark, you touch an ammunition orb onto a section of the weapon that just absorbs it.

Wow, didn't expect this thread to get necro'd. Well, it had perfect timing because I've just started playing CoD:WaW recently and you know when you watch a reload animation and it looks like the person is just putting the exact same magazine in as he took out? Well, if you play WaW on 80 fov, it turns out that that is quite literally what is going on for a lot of the guns in that game. Although it's not as bad (or possibly brilliant) as the ASP reload in Black Ops where it seems like you don't even take the magazine out all the way before pushing it back in and spawning a spent one to fall right next to it.

The SBP500 from timesplitters: Future Perfect. its a top loader for some reason but taking it out is a cool little animation. Also the revolver from same. watching it drop bullets is cool.

I really like the V-R11 reload animation from CoD Zombies CotD. I also really like the animation for the FN FAL in MW2. But my favorite would have to be the ASP from BlOps. I mean, where does your character get that second mag from? Is it up his sleeves? Combine that with Sleight of Hand in Sharpshooter, easily the fastest reload in the game.

I've seen that particular reload (the ASP one) in the highest Field Of Vision Black Ops PC allows, and the mag doesn't even leave seem to leave the gun before being pushed in again. Then it seems to spawn a second mag to pretend is the spent one just outside the gun.

yeah that one is awesome because the guy just knocks the old magazine out with the new one. i dunno why i find that funny either.

the random magazine toss in black ops makes the rpk my favorite reload (at 5:50)

I love the super smooth reloading of the M4A1 or M16 from CoD. It's not jarring, there is not pushing or hitting the gun. Just the press of a button to release the mag, and sliding the new mag in.

im a fan of i think its the magnum off black, because most of the time he just closes it, but every now and then he'll just spin the chamber. so cool, such an old and terrible game. the remington 870 also had a really cool reload on that
also the raging bull from rainbow 6 vegas 2 for pretty much the same reason as black's magnum, and the MP7 off that game because it was win.
