So in essence this thread is simply:

"I don't get any of these freaking disgusting fetishes that everyone has. But I sure do love mine and can't see why others don't!"

I just don't understand human mentality, personally. Only after I figure that out will I work on fetishes and extremes.

Balloons.
That is the most disturbing one I have read so far. Balloons are the unholiest of all things sold to the children/easily amused! This must be some form of sadisim! No man nor woman should EVER have to be near those things, anyone who would take pleasure from seeing someone else intimately interacting with a balloon must be a truly sick, cruel individual. OP: People attracted to plants, I mean, really, plants?

I think it's the touch or feel that gets people off about them. Of course, not having the fetish, I can't explain why this is attractive to anyone. ...Not to mention some people like to 'become' the balloon as a fetish.

Basically all of them, in the sense that I don't understand their appeal as a sexual fetish (how anything related to digestive processes is sexy to anyone is a complete mystery), but there are some fetishes that I can't understand how it is even possible they are a fetish. Like say... a website devoted entirely to women getting their cars stuck in snow/mud/etc. And by that I mean it is exactly what it sounds like - there's nothing even vaguely erotic going on, just reasonably attractive women... getting their cars stuck in snow or mud. That's it.

It boggles my mind when I consider that, somewhere, somebody is out there masturbating to that right now. It's not even pornography for crying out loud!

A foot fetish, although it seems fairly common, still perplexes me, as I feel absolute indifference towards feet. In fact, most fetishes seem strange to me, I'd be perfectly happy with a naked female body, perhaps with a bit of undulation going on :p

Or as the webcomic Pictures For Sad Children put it: "how is this porn"

So then if the balloon were to get too much air then the person would... well that's disturbing.

Oh here we go... let's list fetishes that we find disturbing just to show how in sync we are with "normal people"... (whatever the hell that means)

Aside from rape, and a few non-consenting or helpless people (not referring to consensual rape fantasies/ role playing) having to do with torture, mutilation, injury, asphyxiation, murder, or child related material (including pubescent teens)... I don't really consider things like Furry yiffing,leather,feet/hands, body hair, urine ect. that unusual at all.Feet and area specific fetishes on the body are VERY common, so common that most are mainstream concepts that wouldn't occur to anyone as fetishes (but they are).

Scat is a bit over the line for me too, though I can't really see how you tell someone who's comfortable with having a lover's feces on their person "No! You're not allowed!"

Also, why is everyone bashing furries? What's wrong with it? It's no different than any other form of role playing.

Human sexual relations with animals (bestiality) also puzzles me, not really due to some knee-jerking moral outrage but how hard it is to determine the ethics or psychological impact on the animal. I'll just say that psychologists, sexologists, and scientists in general that study animal-human interaction need to do more research to determine such things without outright demonizing zoophiles for sexual impulses that they may or may not control.

Too many to list.

There is a lot of weird shit out there.

I suppose the one that annoys me the most is the furries though. Instead of keeping it to themselves like most people with a fetish, they shove it in your face all the time, the community acts like it's being attacked when people call them out on it, as if they're 'fighting persecution'.

Nobody gives a toss what your into in the bedroom, so keep it to your bloody self.
To be fair, it seems it's the people not the fetish you have a problem with. And yes, a large amount of the furry community are trolls, hypocrites and whiny-self-entitled prats.

Oh no. Literally become the balloon. Bizzarre magazine has some interesting articles. I think the image I saw of the bloke and that footpump is burned into my mind...

Out of the many many things, the one that takes the cake at the moment is people that like to screw pregnant women.

And not just that they're pregnant. That I can get, and I probably would if my partner/love interest was preggers and wanted to). No, I'm talking about the people that like to do it, while they're giving birth.

... You dont want to know the way I found that out.

In defense of furries:
Furries I can get and I don't mind so much. Turns out the whole "in your face" thing isn't actually them being in-your-face about their fetish; many of them consider it a hobby?or even a state of mind?that may or may not actually hold any sexual interest to them. Also the bestiality stigma is mostly a myth. It's not that some don't find it appealing, it's just that most would keep it "between sentient anthro-sapiens" as it were. You can learn a lot about a subculture when you're strapped for ideas for a psychology paper and you've got a few oddball friends in your list of contacts.

And besides, how many animal terms can use to describe someone or something of romantic interest?
"A real fox"/foxy/vixen, she-wolf, beach bunny (or playboy bunny), sex kitten, pussy cat, cougar, mousey, chicks, stud, stag night, prowling, "doggy-style", "going at it like rabbits", "hung like a horse", "an [animal] in bed". It just seems like people naturally associate animals with one of the last organic functions of human life still remaining today. After all, "we ain't nothing but mammals, so let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel." You know, back before most of the animal shows got moved to Animal Planet.

Plus, if people can find anime/cartoon characters to be sexy (Louis Griffen, Marge Simpson, Betty Boop, Jessica Rabbit), I don't see how anthropomorphic cartoon characters can't be found to be attractive as well (Lola Bunny, Minerva Mink, Krystal, and for some reason, Renamon and...wait, wtf Lucario?...ooookay...).

So yeah, furry isn't my thing, but I can see why it would appeal to some. It's annoying sometimes how much some people seem to hate it without actually bothering to understand it, judging the book by its cover; though I can see how certain things could potentially lead to "ruining one's childhood". I do agree that rule 34 need not apply to everything, though unfortunately it seems that it sometimes does. [/soapbox]

On Topic:
Fetishes I don't understand:
Vore, gore, death, watersports, scat, fat, flatulence, asphyxiation, mutilation, genital mutilation (castration, etc.), bondage, pain, dom/sub, rape, and anything related to any of these, as far as what I can think of right now.

I think dragons epitomized things I find incredibly sexy. Wings are great for cuddling, prehensile tails are great for hugs/erotic manipulation, and the character of a dragon is dominant and hoarding, which appeals to the part of me that likes to be kept, for that gives me a feel of value. And finally, scales have a very fascinating texture to me.
I can identify with that, I sorta like being dominated...and cuddling. I learned something about furrys today.

I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned sexual Vampirism. Is that cause everyone understands its sexy or cause no one knows what it is?
