Yeah but this guy comes across like he knows more about gaming and what he is talking about when talking shit about the games. So it's a trade off of being slightly less interesting, but also having more knowledgable critiques.

Actually, GCN is very knowledgeable. I know you have not seen all his videos, but the dude knows stuff too. I can tell you neither guy probably started off as well knowledgeable. It was especially noticeable with the other guy than GCN. Now things might have changed with Dartigan, but I feel going with him is redundant for me.

I really hope the team behind the FF7 remake project get a crack at making their own new FF game. Because theyve shown that they understand all of the ingredients that make FF games great.
It might be time to replay this game to give the story another shot. Because the more I've sat on 16 the more I feel like it is probably the worst ff game since 8. Yet it is sooooo loved and I wonder if I am crazy.
Is it so loved? My impression is that it's mixed and that the criticism you had are shared by many (including myself).
It's at least willing to reinvent itself and try new (and 'new') things, even if those experiments don't always work out. I can respect that even when I don't respect the results.
And? Just because it doesn't just apply to this case doesn't mean it doesn't apply to this case at all.
