Because in the actual original game Midgar was like only a fraction of Disc 1. Disc 1 goes as far as the Temple of the Ancients and I think Aerith's death.
Yes so that's the big unknown about the game. They said the game is going to only be Midgar, however they've expanded the story and Midgar to be a full game by itself. They also said the game would be 2 blu-ray discs worth of content (like Red Dead 2). The previews have teased a LOT of events that don't happen in the original game, so it is expanded.Samtemdo8 said:

Like I stated above, they've shown the progression systems of the game and there appears to be more than enough progression to suggest a fairly decent length RPG, and plenty of extra grinding if you want that, so I personally am leaning towards believing them on the amount of content in this "part 1". I dunno if it'll be good content, but there are plenty of stories they could tell by allowing you to access more of Midgar and the way it looks, I think we'll be able to go to a lot more places in the city.

Wouldn?t that be crazy if they released it in 3 episodes similar to how it was on 3 discs originally, only spread out into next gen (of course, dat hook?s a killer) and greatly expanded (depth).

But the next game could easily jump to Ps5 and incorporate the open world section, which would fit the upgraded hardware well and allow them to put a much larger portion of the story into a single game. Though that does depend. Because if Part 2 isn't until 2022, that's two years into the PS5 and they may just make it for the PS5 and ignore the PS4. Because games tend to move on into the next system after about a year sometimes less.
The saving grace is the PS5 (if rumors are true) being able to play the PS4 titles as well so people can freely go back to PArt 1 without spliting it between two systems.

I forgotten how great the music is other then the overplayed ones. And I understand why Sephiroth is one of the more if not the best villain in the series.CritialGaming said:

Emperor Mateus: Conceptually he is effective, he's brutal and ambitious, but he just comes off as bland.

Golbez: Again a Switcheroo, and worse he became a good guy in the end. Who the hell is Zemus?

FF X had too many villains I think: Is it Seymour? Is it Sin, is it Yevon, is it Jecht? I do think Sin on its own is a interesting take on the antagonist.
FF 12 kinda makes me sad because remember this series took a completely different direction after Matsuno left the director's chair. But Vayne Solidor had simple motivations, he just wanted to be the God Emperor of the World, he just didn't have enough screentime.
And I have not played 13 and 15 at all to comment.

So the entire gameplay demo has been leaked online. You can watch it above.
Additionally the demo apparently has files from all over the full game, and dataminers have begun to leak everything from materia, to the entire sound track, to endgame bosses and story moments.
This is shortly after it was revealed from a PSN leak that the Demo and the FULL GAME were uploaded onto the PSN server on a mirror that anyone on the internet had full access too. The full game was pulled immediately, but the Demo stayed up and people have played it, datamined the shit out of it and caused a flood on information to pour over twitter and reddit.
After watching the Demo gameplay though, I can say the game looks just as good as I had hoped it would be and am looking even more forward to this thing than ever.
Personally I'm a spoiler fan, I don't feel ruined by getting spoiled on things, so I have been drinking up these leaks like a hungry whore. However I understand that other people have some phobia of knowing things so I wont state any spoilers here directly. They aren't hard to find if anyone wants to check it out though.
