why cant their be a remake on a current generation console with graphics as good as current generation ffs or at least like the CGI on the ps1
Get a psp and a ds i know its not one but ds lites and second hand psps aren't that expensive that way you are coveredKhell_Sennet said:Being totally serious about this, all I want is a handheld that plays Final Fantasy 1 thru 7, possibly 9, as well as Chocobo's Dungeon, Chocobo Racing, and FF Tactics (all). If I could get a portable device that let me play all the FF games I love, I wouldn't need any other handheld, nor would I pine for any other games. Oh, but no touch-screen please. D-Pad and buttons, all you need.
Not been a fan of any of the remakes on the DS, they generally look like ass and I don't wanna see the same happen to FFVIApackof12Ninjas said:Why the hell not? FFIVs remake was truly a epic remake of the original. Think lightning wont strike twice?gibboss28 said:Ugh not a 3D remake, especially not on the DS.
God I hope they release Seiken Densetsu 3. As far as I know it was never released out side Japan. And while I'm usually against imulators in general, that was never released here so I got a rom of it with an English patch. And that game is awesome. I would totally support an official English release.John Funk said:As it turns out, the answer could be both "yes" and "no." Yesterday, Square-Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto updated the Square-Enix Members' Twitter account [http://twitter.com/SQEX_MEMBERS_JP] in response to several questions from fans of the studio's games. Previously, Hashimoto had said that non-iMode releases of the publisher's Ever Heart Odyssey and a downloadable release of the SNES title Seiken Densetsu 3 were both "undecided."
I think you hit the nail on the head there. FF5 has a certain type of transparency effects in the water and fog that are apparently hard to duplicate. I've played it on various emulators and they came up with different results. It was remedied in later versions but if they want to port the game again they'll probably have to figure it out again just like the Emu-coders had to.evilpaul13 said:I'd say the same thing about FFV as it didn't improve much graphically, so the "technical problems" there leave me a perplexed. Maybe it had somewhat heavier use of transparent overlays and layering? It's been quite a while since I played it.
Because it's a bigger market. There are just more DS than PSP.AzrealMaximillion said:Just put it on the PSP. They put 1&2 on the PSP but every other remake has been DS. Why?
But it wasn't. The cutesy character models and horrendous voice acting pretty much poisoned the whole experience.Apackof12Ninjas said:Why the hell not?
