Some context here for a certain age group this was pretty much the first JRPG many of us came across (actually it was my third) but it was certainly one the largest and most expansive story's we'd played in computer games. For a lot of people it really introduced interactive storytelling to the masses. Yes I accept there are problems these days mainly its aged badly in terms of graphics and taking into context of modern games and now we know about other games of the time it's probably not as revolutionary as once thought.
However 14 year old me didn't know that to 14 year old me this was one of the greatest experiences in computer games and he could barely find anything like that in those pre-internet days. You can't remove that feeling though rational thought.
Am I excited? Probably the only thing that could force me to buy a next-gen console.
