the Halo 3 ending it just ends in after a CHASE scene A FUCKING CHASE SCENE!? NOT EVEN A BOSS?!
Considering Halo: Combat Evolved had a far more impressive chase scene, I'd that it was a great final level. The adreneline, the speed of getting out of there before it all goes to hell is what makes the climax of the game.

Halo 2's final boss? Tartarus? Screw him. What a pansy.

Spoiler box that shit, bro! Just because a game is relatively old doesn't mean that everyone's played it.

OT: Baten Kaitos was a big one.
Once you kill Malpercio, the final boss, a very hard battle, I may add, there's a gigantic unskippable cutscene and suddenly you fight Geldoblame, a person that you literally haven't heard of since disc 1 of 2... Luckily he was really easy, but still...

I start a mission and discover that it's a battle against Metal Geqar Chaioth Ha Qadesh. Since I didn't know I was supposed to fight it, I neglected to bring any rocket launchers. After sitting there for two hours, I finally beat it. But wait! Lucy takes control of it and gives it a power boost. By the time I beat her, I was 4 hours into the battle. I was so close to throwing my PSP through the window.

Well, I can't argue with that logic. The controls for the Warthog were very strange, for the time at least. Still, I consider those final moments of Halo to be enjoyable, and provide a nice finisher to the game.

Not really. The final levels are supposed to be challenging. Take your time, and learn the route by heart, and run over any Flood/Covenant that stand in your way. You'll get it eventually.

Ah, well then I fell your sorrow. You can always pick the game up from a used game store if you ever choose to purchase a new copy. Or you could not, whatever you wish to do. The endings are fun, but probably not purchasing the game over again for.

The end of Red Dead Reedmption.

There was no need for John Marston to die. And the arbitrary, homely missions like shooting with jack and other stuff like that only made the game flow horribly. I swear if they let me take out my Evans Reapeater I could of gotten all those Army bastards.

Damn, you beat me to it. The first thing I thought of when I saw this thread, worse than "The Princess is in another castle." Good news, you beat the game! But now you have to play through the entire thing again to actually beat it... assholes.

Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker. Puppet Ganon, three bloody forms the third which requires you shoot the end of his tail while he's moving super fast. Then after that? The real final boss. The game wasn't particularly hard but the ending was kind of a pain. Although awesome.

And why in the hell

Did they not take Marston out after you kill Dutch, and claim Dutch killed him? There was no forensic evidence back then, and the family (particularily John) would not hold a grudge on anyone (and Edgar Ross would still be living), because the "Killer" is already dead. I don't see why one man and one shot could have done the job, when they sent a whole army to take him out at his ranch and lost valuble men.

*Whistles* Sorry for that rant, I really needed to get that question out there though. It was something I wanted to discuss quite a while ago and never got around to it.

John Marston knew that he had to die. It wasn't a question of being able to kill the army, it was a question of doing what was best for his family. Had he just run away, then the army would find him again and his family would never be safe again, that's why he died and that was his redemption. He wanted the best for his son and does everything he can to ensure that Jack does not become him, which makes it so sad that he grows up to be an outlaw like his father.

Killed the Metal gear thing. Yay, I beat the game! Wait, more motorcycle chase scenes? What, now I have to escort my partner. Oh good, fighting The Boss. Game should be over once this is done. Wait, Ocelot? WTF?!?
