So, let's see if I got all this: A forgotten foe (from all sorts of different stories) slops ink all over the planet (Mario Sunshine), giving our hero a face lift to fit the new hardware (Banjo Kazooie, Nuts & Bolts?) Our hero uses painting skills (Okami) to save the world?

The reference to Roger rabbit and how toons never die is apropos to a Disney game, as they did work on Roger Rabbit.

The fact that it seems to be coming from Europe might be the reason behind all the dark tone, and family-unfriendly-seemingness to the plot. If you've ever seen the short (uh...) "Runaway Brain", you've seen how dark a Mickey Mouse cartoon can be, but it's still very Disney.

Something tells me we won't see gameplay videos until long after Mickey's new face gets revealed.

Not that I'm not looking forward to this now... Damn... I like the idea behind it already

I'm disappointed it's only coming out on the Wii, because that means I'll most likely never play it. Here's hoping it gets ported to another console or the PC.

This is the first Disney game to catch my interest since the original Kingdom Hearts.

This looks really neat. Again, the concept art so far has been nothing short of fantastic. I'm a bit scared when I hear the word "makeover" though. But the idea of being able to wield a brush Okami style would fit well in the Disney universe. I'm torn on this one. I think i'll wait for a bit more information before I get too excited.

I think they need to make a game based off of my Mickey. :p

That last sentence could have been very easily misinterpreted... trust me.

Also this looks like the most badass thing ever.
Good thing my friend has a Wii and never locks his doors.

This... is actually very interesting. The artwork, and the story makes me think of Fantasia a bit.

God I love the idea of this game, I'm surprised that Disney gave the license for it. It looks pretty damn dark and Disney doesn't do dark really. At least, not as dark as I'm hoping this game will be.

Sounds like Super Mario Sunshine, considering the most common hazard in this game appears to be black sludge.

Disney used to make dark pretty damn well back in the days. They'll hopefully go back to that style.

How... does this... sound like a good idea?!... That shouldn't be possible!

A couple of people have said it reminds them of Super Mario Sunshine, and they're right, but it's so much more. But then, this isn't Pixar, it's Disney. They screw up even the best-sounding ideas.

I heard Disney and thought of the current sludge that is pumped out with that name sake attached to it, and was hesitant to read this article. I than thought that this is The Escapist and they don't do sludge, so I read on.

Glad that I did, since this sounds like one interesting game the delves into the history of Disney's old characters, and brings along some fun play mechanics. Hopefully all is done well for this game.

Disney; please do not fuck this up. You have hurt yourself in my eyes for many a year recently, I want you to do this well. I want you to do it right. Anything other than a perfectly compiled concept will not be acceptable. Anything other than an epic of history will not. Be. Acceptable.

I have to say that the whole concept does tickle my creative insides.

But it's still on the Wii, so we'll see.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard and been so depressed at the same time. You, sir, are good.

That sounds like an old Tiny Toons Adventures/Animaniacs style plot to me. Disney rips off Warner Brothers again!
Slightly more serious, though, is this idea that Mickey Mouse, one of the dullest cartoon characters of them all (which, ironically, explains his longevity. Bland=Relateable),doesn't frequently recieve as many makeovers as Barbie to try (and usually fail) to add spice to the mouse is funnier than anything he's ever starred in.
Still, I could go for another Castle of Illusion. Thinking of which, if Donald Duck is playable (or Minnie, even), I'd be all for it.

Only reason I'm kind of skeptical is because of Warren Spector's involvment. Otherwise, though could turn out amazing.
