I babysat for my neighbours. It was infrequent, but it was a good job when I was younger. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I worked in a clothes shop, Clockwork Orange, i hated it.

I worked with a bunch of stuck up people and it was just standing in a small place for a long period of time, very boring and for just £4.75 an hour!

I'm at my first job right now. I work at the local community college, tutoring people on computers and working the front desk in the centralized testing and tutoring area. The hours are adjusted to match up to my class schedule, and, as evidenced by this post, there's a lot of down time where I'm just on a computer, waiting for someone to need some help with something. I couldn't even hope for a better job to get started with, and I'm going to miss it when I go off to university in the Fall.

i worked in a garden centre.

I planted things, i moved things but mostly i dug things.

Mainly this hole, i wasn't told what the Massive hole was for, but we needed a massive hole in the middle of the centre for some reason,so off i dug for about 2 weeks in the Shit December rain listening to Maddona on the radio.

if there ever happens to be a massive report of missing people soon i know where to look.

I was in charge of documentation and some of the paper work on a steel plant refraction job, and it was horrible. Although, I had just broken up with my ex whom I'd been with for almost 2 years then, so I guess that would explain a lot.

Pay was good though, made a good amount that summer even though I didn't get the chance to enjoy that summer a single bit. (didn't sunbath more than... once?)

Barstaff at a local club. A more accurate description would have been "unsolicited groping receiver". But the pay was decent and I secretly liked the attention....

May i just say welcome to the wonderful world of retail, prepare to lose all faith in the human race.

My first job was a paper boy, getting up early everyone morning, packing papers then cycling around. It is by no stretch of the imagination a good job but i'm glad i did it. Got me some extra money when i was too young to get a proper job. I was also lucky that i delivered to the estate i lived on so my last house was across the road from me and being a private estate meant i got nice tips at christmas.

first job was as a DJ at a teen club. My current job is how I'm building the funds to buy the equipment off my boss while DJing, since she never uses it any more.

First off, Max, here's a website you'll learn to relate to: Not Always Right [http://www.notalwaysright.com]

My first job was a paperboy for a local newspaper that went out of print before I was there for a year.

I then went on to be a Little League umpire, enjoying baseball but not being very good at it, myself. It was a great job, until one of the coach-father bastards decided that I was going to be his proverbial punching bag because my calls never went his way.

My first "real" job (as in, a job that produced a W2) was at a bowling alley, working the counter. I thoroughly enjoyed that job, since on Friday and Saturday nights, I felt like a rock star, since I was the only one working who was around the age group of the customers and was thus put in charge of the music. I was also the only person working there in a span of 3 years to leave by choice.

My first job was and still is being a cashier at Taco Bell. It isn't a terrible job but anyone who has worked fast food can tell you it isn't easy.

My first job will be at my dad's manufacturing plant this summer.

I'll be getting my hair cut for it, but the pay and the experience will be nice.

Accountancy. Serious stuff to start with right? But it wasn't really my job as much as that I was helping out an accountant friend who paid me for it.

I worked at a nightclub called the Rosetta Stone when I was fifteen as an under-the-table employee.

It was pretty cool actually. I got to meet interesting people and drink the mostly ignored soda's.
