If the downed Transformer is on the dark side of the moon, why is that area perfectly lit? The whole point of the moon having a dark side is that sunlight never--oh, forget it.
That's not how the moon works...

The moon always faces Earth the same way, and the entire moon gets lit up over the course of about 14 days...
Ah, my mistake. :) I forgot how being tidally locked works.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Wait... isn't the title "Dark Side of the Moon"? If so, each and every instance of the film's title in this news article is missing the word "side" from it, which is sort of odd (once I can see, but all three times?). You might want to fix that.

Super pedant away!
I appreciate people pointing out when I've made mistakes, but could you do me a favor and actually make sure that I've made a mistake before you start correcting me?
Oh, I was 100% sure you'd made a mistake on the title when I posted that, the uncertainty was just precisely where that had been; you were also the author of the earlier news post about the 3D filming rumors (which is linked to in this article) that put forth Dark Side of the Moon as the title - given the contradiction, there was simply no way both could be correct. It seemed like Dark of the Moon was the title in error, but I haven't been following news about Bay's latest opus via other channels so the entirety of my knowledge of its existence (and title) has been derived from news posts here on The Escapist, thus when I wrote my post I had no other frame of reference (hence my less than complete certainty).

But upon poking around IMDB just now I see that the odd sounding Dark of the Moon is in fact the official title, so no, there isn't a problem with the title in this article as you correctly point out; the problem is in the other [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/105670-Michael-Bay-Vigorously-Denies-Claims-of-3D-Problems-on-Next-Transformers-Movie] article. In retrospect I should probably have mentioned that was why the title in this article looked wrong to me.
Maybe it's a copyright issue with Pink Floyd?

I enjoyed the movies so far. they werent really like transformers, but that would have meant it would be a full 120minute toycommercial that only 7 year olds really could enjoy (i tried to watch again not long ago, i should have left the memories alone).

But still they can't stopp the movies before Grimlock appears ;)
stuff like that was why I never watched the transformers show
Wow....I second that. That shit is why I watched other shows as a kid and not transformers. 50 bucks Bay puts that character in his "magnum opus" transformer film.

You couldn't pay me enough money to go see the next film....Bay is a hack.

That would certainly be a rather entertaining explanation for the shoddy grammar of the title they are actually using!

But... but... but...

Where is Shia LaBeouf?

Without Shia's unique charm, inspirational talent and superb performances, this movie just won't be a real Transformers movie. I just know they are going to ruin the franchise forever by focusing entirely on the stupid giant robots and excluding all the intricate relationships and profound romance associated with the human characters of the series.

Nope, none of that. Just giant robots hitting each other. Oh man, this is going to suck.
Sir, I am writing this to inform you that I will be forwarding to you the repair bill for my sarcasm detector, which was overloaded (and subsequently exploded) due to your post.

I hope so much Unicron will be in this movie, but probably won't. I hope Bay wasn't lying about going deeper into the mythos because this looks more interesting compared to the first two.
Knowing Bay, Unicron would be defeated by a single nuclear missle with the American flag painted all over it.
And he'll be just slightly taller than Optimus Prime.

No video. :(
...and Bay recommends that you watch it in 3D
...and leave your expectations at the door.
...and buy a Dark Side of the Moon soft-drink.
...and totally smoke a joint beforehand.
...and bring the damn chips this time.

Seeing wrecking-ball Decep-ticles and racially stereotyped Autobots were horrific enough in two dimensions. Four "problems" right there!

Side note, anyone else thinking Vector Sigma for the transformer at the end? And god I feel like such a nerd now.
That was actually my first thought, too.
At risk of exposing my pedantic nature with Transformers, its unlikely either of you are right since Vector Sigma isn't actually a Transformer: he's a computer AI in the heart of Cybertron that can create new Transformers (See G1 two parter 'The Key to Vector Sigma')

I'd hedge my bets that the big fella on the moon is actually another Prime such as the already mentioned Vector Prime or he could be Alpha Trion.
Aargh, I actually meant Alpha Trion. I guess I got confused, because he merged with Vector Sigma in order to create the Aerialbots.
Champ, you aren't the first person to confuse the jumbled mess of crazy that is Transformers G1 canon, its looser than the windows of a Burma Brothel.

Okay, first of all, grammar is your friend. A few breaks in the above block of text would be nice.

That said; most of us did go 'Holy Fuck, Live Action Transformers' when the whole thing hit the net back in '05. However, no film is perfect.

I don't like the way the story seems to be resetting status quo between each movie: Sam goes almost to hell and back for Bumblebee in movie 1 but in the first few minutes of movie 2, he wants to get rid of him: cos thats totally how you treat a bro.

And same thing with his idiot girlfriend; after the total farce of him having to die and be returned to life to admit he loves her, she's dumped him in movie 3 (which is largely Megan Fox's fault) but can you see how this crap gets irritating.

And the above points don't even touch on some the questionable humour, retarded characters on both sides and frankly the rather lacklustre product overall that was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We were promised 'Empire Strikes Back' but we got 'Attack of the Clones'

There's movies where switching off your brain is easy but still enjoyable such as Centurion, Dog Soldiers or The Expendables; but there is a difference between not stressing your audience and outright insulting them.
