Where the heck did you get that 1911 from? I've been wanting a good quality airsoft gun for days where I just don't feel like driving all the way out to the range.

i'm not some hippy pro life nut, or some weak nerdy pasifist, but HELLO! these things kill people, lets be realistic, when the fuck are you gonna use a throwing axe without landing yourself in prison, if you are keeping these things for there ornimental value then i think it's time you took a look at what they are actually built for.

just for the record, airsoft guns i can understand i own several myself, but assault weapons e.g. guns, swords, and knives (excluding hunting knives, shotguns etc) kill people when used properly and have about as much taste as a dead baby joke when used ornimentally, if anyone can give me a reason to be so fascinated by killing equipment i'd love to hear it.

Depends on what part of the world you're shopping from. I personally order online from Evike, Redwolf Airsoft, and Kapowwe, but then I live in the US.

Is it just me, or does the definition for "assualt weapons" get broader every day?

EDIT: Also: Yes, I'm afraid to say, you ARE a weak nerd hippy pacifist. Not that there's anything wrong with being weak, or a nerd. 'Cause Nerds rule. There's even a song about it, sung by a hot geek.

I have a shitty dagger. Not really a weapon but just for cools. Who the hell needs guns if there is no real threat?

You've never gone to the range and fired a gun, have you? Do that, you'll understand.

On a target in the backyard? Dur?

"You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means."

If you're referencing my rifles, those are not assault weapons. If they're not select fire (read: capable of automatic fire), they are not assault weapons. I'm not trying to be hostile sounding, it's just a huge problem that the general public likes to refer to civilian versions of military weapons as assault weapons when they aren't. It only helps contribute to the problem with people painting them in their mind as "evil" guns.

Well made swords and knives and what not absolutely can be objects of decoration, sure they may be razor sharp, but regardless, it's still a work of art when they're created as such.

As far as firearms go, I wouldn't hang my guns on the wall because that's just about as damned rednecky as you can get, but I enjoy my firearms because it's fun to go to the range and pop targets with them. It's relaxing and it gets me the fuck out of my house. Plus, as a marine engineer, I really enjoy the mechanical aspects of them. One of the first things I like to do when I get a new firearm is get it home and completely tear it down.
"But what do you need multiple firearms for?"
Glad you asked, because each one has it's own distinct personality. My AK fires nothing like my AR-15. They behave wildly differently and when at the range, it's fun to put a few rounds through both of them since it's a totally different experience.

As far as my 10-22 goes, that's my el super cheapo plinker. .223 and 7.69 are crazy expensive these days, but .22 is still dirt cheap. You can go to the range and have a few hours of plinking fun, burning through about 500 rounds for maybe 40 bucks. Definitely a great little rifle to have on the side.

Just because a weapon is capable of killing doesn't mean that's why someone enjoys having them around and using them. I have firearms because I really enjoy target shooting at the range. I have my melee weapons (though they don't really count since they're blunted) because I enjoy my melee training. I bought my Benchmade Model 42 Butterfly Knife because I'm a fidgety son of a ***** and want to get into flipping.

Exception to the rule: My Kabar TDI knife. I bought that for whenever I have to go out of town. Where I live is really safe, but I like having that knife on my belt for personal protection, especially whenever I go down south.

Thanks, I'll check those places out. I live in Alaska so the sky is the limit as to what I can have mailed here.

when i say assault weapon i mean any weapon designed to cause harm to another person.

by the way i'm not a weak nerdy pascifist, i've been in fights before, and i'm not weak either i'm a rock climber with a 9 hour per weak training programme.

the fact of the matter is this i dont understand (or like) gun nuts, guns kill people, also you still haven't answered my question.

I just did answer your question. Might want to thoroughly read my post.

Also, "assault weapon" isn't just a term you can use however you want to describe whatever you want. It has very specific legal implications.

Guns are tools, nothing more. People kill people, the tool they use to do it is irrelevant.

And since I'm not derailing this thread with people pissing and moaning about guns, that is all I'm going to post on the matter.

Actually I have. Yes it was fun. And no I won't pay a load of cash just to have one which I can't use.. let alone have it legal. I live in The Netherlands where having a gun for home use is illegal. Even if it was legal I wouldn't want one.

There are a lot of legislators, lobbyists, and lawyers that would tell you to shut the fuck up right about now.

also my question was, give me a reason to be so fascinated with weapons
And I directly answered your question in a non-hostile manner as to why I personally enjoy the weapons I own (save for one of them which is just a tool). If you're just here to troll and start a fight, I suggest you get out.

Nice to see another NRA member.
Yeah, I'm on my second year as a member. I'm not a right wing nutjob or any crap like that, (nor am I a bleeding heart liberal, I have a huge dislike for both sides, tbh) but once I became a gun owner and started seeing all of the absolute swill the gun control side loves to spew out I quickly signed up. It was nice to see that the NRA itself really doesn't care about right or left wing. They'll support whoever just so long as they're pro 2nd amendment.

I joined up this year, I've been meaning to do it for a while, I just never get around to it.
Yeah, they might be one of the few groups that stick to one issue and do it pretty well.

Well this would be mine I think:

I mean that's the only thing I regularly kill people with, I do also have (but can't be bothered to gather up and photograph):

-A Highlander 'Masamune' replica sword (blunt)
-An Anduril replica (blunt)
-A naginata (a Japanese glaive)(semi-sharp)
-A gothic fantasy sword (blunt)
-A set of 2 Ninja-to (sharp)
-3 throwing knives
-1 shuriken
-A 60lb draw longbow
-A 50lb draw pistol crossbow
-some nunchucks
And my pride and joy, a functional katana (hand forged, high-carbon steel, tempered, very sharp)

But I tend not to use them on people. Usually.
