No. If a band only produces song that you like, then they have no variation, sing the same thing over and over and thus are crap. If they have variation and do different things then I can guarantee you that at least one song will be different from what you like and thus they aren't flawless. Luckily it doesn't really matter since you have the ability to choose things and listen to things you like as opposed to those you don't.
Depends how eclectic your tastes are, actually. Plenty of people like every single one of the ridiculously varied things Radiohead's put out for different reasons.

Yeah I know there is always that joker that likes everything, but I'm always inclined to think that either he/she is lying to try and make themselves seem music savvy, or don't have any taste (someone who could enjoy listening to a leaking faucet and enjoy it as music).

Nah, sorry. As hard as it is to believe, there really are people out there who like multiple things for multiple reasons.

I like this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JddEezXWf8Y] because I think the chiming pianos sound beautiful, I like the guy's vocals and I think the melody is great. It also comes with a nice, rousing chorus that provides perfect sing-along fodder. I also like the little guitar plucking away in the background - another texture never goes amiss.

I like this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdeqvhxu7iI] because I think the dark, crushing atmosphere is brilliant and evocative, bringing all sorts of wonderful images to mind. I'm also a big fan of the slow, creeping metamorphosis that happens as the song goes on, and how the vocals don't take the lead and are instead just another layer of the song.

It just requires appreciation. To be frank I'm a bit confused by people who only have a limited number of things they're looking for in music - don't you get bored, or ever want anything else?

I would have to say the Eagles and Tom Petty. I may not like all of their music but I can't say I've heard any from them that's genuinely bad.

OT: See, Godspeed You! Black Emperor are my favourite band of all time but their music isn't really divided into songs... I love all their work apart from their occasional drone tracks.
Are you not a fan of Drone music or do you just not think GY!BE did them well? I did read your review on Sputnikmusic a while back and I was not sure what your opinion on the genre was, I happen to love Drone music and thought that GY!BE were able to translate their sound well into a genre that is disliked by the majority of casual listeners. Just curious.
Wow, people actually read those things?

Well no, I don't really listen to drone. Not much anyway. I just didn't find much in these tracks to really bite into although they're nice to have in the background. To me they just felt like bits present to fill in the spaces between the main tracks and I'd rather they'd fitted them in with the main bodies of music. The drone-y bit at the end of BBF3 (can you call it drone?) is pretty amazing though and there's the odd bit of drone, in one form or another, that I like here and there. E.g. The Angelic Process, Nadja. But then again, those bands include other styles too.

They're ok, I just didn't really get into them like I did with the main pieces of music. I'm thinking of Yanqui and Allelujah here, when the drones were separate to the main songs; I actually I think they had really good drone elements on Lift Your Skinny Fists, where they let those moments build out of the music. The ending of Static, for example.

Do you actually think it's hard to have a range of tastes? It's not rare for me to make my morning playlist and put in a hip hop song, an ambient/electronic song, a pop rock song and a hardcore punk song all together.

My moods vary too much to always stick to the same styles of music anyway.

My 'flawless band' is HIM.

I just. It's so good. All of it. Absolutely, 100% all of their songs are awesome.
There are, of course, songs I like less than others (typically slower ones, as I'm not keen to slow songs by default). But none of them do I dislike.

Something about the way everything sounds, and just the general emotions in HIM's music resonates with me. I also heavily enjoy the more ethereal and metaphoric lyrics (e.g. from the above song, "I unlit the light to embrace the dark, to be near but not to turn into you"). It kind of pulls me out of a song when the lyrics are more grounded in reality.

Obviously nobody is actually flawless, but here's my picks.

Our very own Miracle Of Sound. Pretty much every song I've listened to, I have at least enjoyed and for the majority of them, love. There are a few I haven't listened to since I haven't played/watched whatever the subject is about, but I'm fairly certain they'll be up to his usual high quality (and I will in all likelihood get round to listening to them after I have played/watched the subject). And I wish him the best in dealing with his tinnitus.

And I'm probably going to take some flak for this but, Linkin Park. Now I will say that their stuff isn't near perfect by any means. However, like MoS, I like all their songs, and even love a few of them, and would have no objections at all if I was "forced" to listen to all of their albums, for whatever reason that would happen. *readies the almighty flameshield*

Aphex Twin comes SO, SO DAMN CLOSE to this, with this one - ONE - exception:

<youtube=l_PV2EuLGV4>

The first two minutes are cool, but then it just devolves into meh. DANGIT, RICHARD, YOU WERE SO CLOSE.

So I give the award to Florence + The Machine, who remain the only tolerable part of Twilight, as well as keeping a perfect record of "songs I like", while they're not all stellar, at least none of them are boring or unpleasant.

Closest to flawless for me would probably be Johnny Cash or Pat Benatar, as I've loved every song I've heard from them. But no one is flawless. Even my all time favorite band Iron Maiden had the Blaze Bayley era.

So you're telling me my pick, Florence + The Machine, released these:

and this:

and this:

<youtube=TpLXQorSQe8>

and also this:

<youtube=HGH-4jQZRcc>

and featured on this piece of brilliance:

<youtube=17ozSeGw-fY>

...all very different songs on different subjects with different sounds and different orchestrations, and thus I physically cannot like all of them?

Uh.

OK.

Whilst I'd say they're far from perfect, Mumford and Sons... Holy fuck, Mumford and Sons!
I could give glowing praise of them until the servers crashed but odds are you've heard ther music already and come to your own conclusion on what you think about their music.
Captcha: "namby-pamby"... I think I've hit a new low.

Ah HIM, I like everything before Dark Light. Dark Light and everything afterwards was complete crap in my opinion.

OT: My flawless band would be A Lot Like Birds, they only have two albums, but there is not one bad song on either of them.

Since two people already said Opeth, I'll go with Porcupine Tree. Pretty much everything that Steven Wilson touches turns to gold(including a couple of Opeth albums, actually). Here's a sampling of their music:

I completely agree, I feel as though their new album would of been better if they incorporated the two Drone tracks actually into the two main songs instead of having them separate otherwise they feel like filler tracks IMO. Also, The Angelic Process fucking slay, I have been listening to a mix of them, Type O Negative, Alcest, Boris and Jesu today while finishing up my coursework.
