It's just fox news being a laughable "news" source as usual and nobody with a functioning brain still takes them seriously anyway. Starting to get bored of their constant stream of stupidity.

Damn, ive seen Arrietty, but for some reason i missed all of the brainwashing messages, i call bullshit.

EDIT: Well ok, there was a message about giving things to others in need that you wont really miss, but is that really a bad thing?

Yes. Sharing is communist. Anyone who shares is going to hell. Obviously.

hahaha did they think they would change the story of the lorax so it would have more of a neutral message? i havent seen the miyazaki film yet but im just gonna go ahead and assume fox is full of shit (it seems like a safe bet). they just really like to complain about anything they can because they like to make it seem like theyre the victims...which isnt an easy task considering that republicans in washington are constantly bullying democrats. they wanna talk about liberal agenda? the only liberal agenda ive been seeing lately is to give republicans whatever they ask for. but ya know what, lets pretend that fox is right (no pun intended). lets pretend that liberals are secretly trying to train children to respect nature and not destroy the environment...is that really such a bad thing?

As a Brit, can some Americans explain why being a liberal is as bad as **** punting an old woman? "Oh noes, this film says be nice to the enviroment PROTECT THE CHILDREN! BURN THE FILM!"

"Are you thinking of helping your fellow man Timmy?" "Yes, Pa." "That's the wrong thing to do son! You should stomp them into the dirt and climb to the top on their bodies!"

What kind of misanthropist wanker do you have to be to take issue from "pushing the agenda" of "being fair" to children?
And then that guy says you should buy popcorn and throw it on the ground to "fight back against the message".
Are those guys toddlers or what? Why do these people get screen time?

What the hell does the Secret World of Arriety have to do with the 1%? Seriously?
I am thoroughly ashamed for my actual understanding of this preposterous claim, but my guess is that Fox sees the depiction of the humans in Arrietty as the 1% and the borrowers as the 99%.

Meaning that Fox sees this movie as indoctrinating kids into thinking its okay to steal (borrow) from the rich if you're poor.

...It must be difficult for Fox representatives to enjoy any movie. They're like fucking general Ripper from Dr. Strangelove.

You're saying that as if US has any left-leaning people.

Yeah, I'm bitchy about that. Sorry.

We should start a news network and just outright make stuff up too. I bet we could make loads of money.

Also, at what point did littering become a good thing? Are we living in the Sith Empire now?

They also did the same thing with the muppets movie. It shows how much of a joke Fox "news" is when they take Dr. Seuss on an a threat.

Huh? So telling our kids to be fair and let everyone have an equal shot at life is horrible now? Destroying nature is all fine? I'm not really getting the point here. Just glad I don't live in a country where a news channel can get away with being this biased and downright idiotic.

Thank God for this fair and balanced take.

Well I don't think the Lorax is trying to push a liberal agenda, I think it's instead talking about an important issue, one that was important back in 1988 and is still important today. I doubt Dr. Suess was trying to brainwash children, just trying to give a good moral, "if you get rid of all the plants, you destroy the ecosystem." It was an eco-friendly message that's all.
But you see, an eco-friendly message IS a liberal agenda. That's the way it's been politicised in the last ten years.

Plus, as we all know, reality has a known liberal bias (to paraphrase Stephen Colbert).

The Borrowers got started in 1952 by a British woman, so I doubt she was pushing modern American liberal ideas either. I read this series of books when I was younger and never once thought "you know, this is a good point. Taking what you need from others is a good idea!"

No, it's just a series of cute stories.

Next up: Does the Cat in the Hat represent Che Guevara?

Because people eat this shit up. You know how people like to go on roller coasters or tell ghost stories? Well, a lot of other people like to be scared. They don't like to be scared by high speeds and tales of the dead, though. They like to be scared by a different kind of bogeyman. The liberal, PC bogeyman. Lou Dobbs is spinning a liberal horror tale, and people who like to feel persecuted and scared eat it up.

Yo.

Personally, I'm sick of our moderate party being treated as far left, but I can hold my own with any European liberal.

Exactly. Not being a greedy sociopath is bad. That's pretty much their stance.

Okay, I know Faux News is about as reliable as an unpotty trained labrodoodle in a high stress medical situation, but I can normally shrug off thier batshit. However, I may actually have to destroy them this time because YOU DO NOT FUCK WITH STUDIO GHIBLI.
