Oh, Faux Noose. You so crazy.

I swear, they're reminding me of the stereotype of the paranoid village idiot nobody really cares about but everyone would loathe to see leave, because there's nobody else quite like them in the world, which makes them so special.

I just wish you could take the entire network, put it in a vacuum and let it jabber on about EVIL LIBERAL AGENDAS until it finally sinks in that they've lost all credibility ages ago.

Just about the only thing I watched Fox for was cartoons and Deep Space Nine, as a kid.

BREAKING NEWS: This just in, it has been confirmed that yes, Fox are indeed still a bunch of cunts.
Back to you Ted.
Thank you Phil.
Today in sports, the Milwaukee Midgets have defeated the Washington What-evens by a bone-shattering eleventy to threeve.
Now here's the weather with Jack.
Thank you Ted.
Today we can expect another shitstorm as a new piece of inconsequential information is released concerning Mass Effect 3. Hopefully it lets up soon, the internet's septic tanks are almost full.
After this commercial break we'll be back with our news team's analysis of the Republican debates. If they can ever stop laughing.

Oh did they NOT try to diss Studio Ghibli??!!!!

What next? They going to complain about one of Pixar films had a sinister secret agenda hidden in the film????
Man the warmachines! We shall not let them slander Ghibli.

I'm surprised Finding Nemo was never targetted for showing animals attacking a private business owner. What's that? He was Australian? Never mind, screw him.

OT: I know I should laugh it off, but something still pisses me off whenever Fox News 'reports' on this sort of thing. They're the one troll which gets a rise out of me. Haven't seen the Lorax, but saw Arrietty and thought it was actually one of Ghibli's less environmentally-focused works, especially compared with stuff like Ponyo, Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa.

As a Brit, can some Americans explain why being a liberal is as bad as **** punting an old woman? "Oh noes, this film says be nice to the enviroment PROTECT THE CHILDREN! BURN THE FILM!"

"Are you thinking of helping your fellow man Timmy?" "Yes, Pa." "That's the wrong thing to do son! You should stomp them into the dirt and climb to the top on their bodies!"
Yeah... There's nothing actually wrong with being a liberal if you're a liberal, but if you're a conservative shit-storm show, like Fox, it is. Not that all conservatives are as wrong as Fox News mind you...

So why is protecting the environment bad again? I'm not a saintly, pollution free kind of guy; but I do what I can within by budget. I drive a fuel efficient car, recycle and turn off lights when I'm not using them.

I just don't see why not destroying the eivonment; you know the thing that keeps the planet running, is a bad thing. I also really doubt Ghibli is going to portray anything as bad as say, Captain Planet did. He was fighting (literally) capitalists who raped the environment for profit. It doesn't get any more obvious than that, and that's the stuff we grew up with.

BREAKING NEWS!
FOX IS RUN BY RIGHT WING DIPSHITS!
I,m not insulting people that support the right wing (I don't agree with them) but these idiots are saying that kids movies brainwash people!
With a dramatic shift to the right in the political discourse of America, Fox News has had to shift further and further right to be able to hold attention of their viewers. They went over the derp end ages ago.

Can someone explain to me in a logical smart way (without hurting my brain) WHY THE FUCK FOX NEWS IS STILL AROUND?

I love how Fox News quite openly thinks things are an evil "agenda" if they promote fairness, sharing, and thinking of the environment...

Seriously, Fox News, I want you people to take a moment to write down what you believe, andread it, and then consider whether you'd still think you're right if you were one of the memebers of the "occupy" movement. If you think you'd stick to your beliefs of "We have no job because we obviously don't deserve them", you are talking out your ass.

I'd love to hear what Fox News' take on Bioshock is. I suspect a potent combination of outrage and arousal.

Well, I hear that there are a ton of churches trying to brainwash more or less crazy values into young children, surely that's something you should report o...

Oh, it's only bad when you believe liberals are doing it?

I see.

Breaking news, Jack! Not satisfied with attacking Dr. Seuss and Studio Ghibli, the Republicans have moved on to the Girl Scouts [http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/02/21/10469492-lawmaker-radical-girl-scouts-out-to-destroy-american-family-values], with claims of hidden feminist, lesbian, and communist agendas.

I hate being fair to Fox even though I haven't seen Arrietty, but given most Ghibli fims, comments about blatent liberal agendas and environmentalism aren't surprising in the least. He'd probably lose his shit over Laputa, Nausicaa and Princess Mononoke.
The one thing about Princess Monoke though, was that it, at least to me, made a very clear attempt to portray both sides of the argument fairly. The workers who were destroying the forest weren't demonized, they were just people making their living. One of the lasting feelings I got out of Monoke, though I doubt Fox would agree, was that there isn't always an easy answer.

I swear to god at this point Fox is just straight up trolling when they present this level of sheer insanity. No one actually believes this psychotic stuff right?

But then again Rick Santorum is currently in the lead for the Republican candidacy so I don't even know anymore. *sigh* and to think I used to count myself as a Republican.

Well, it's Lou Dobbs (or at least on his show), he's said all sorts of crazy things.

All the Lorax has made me want to do is go try out the Lorax Breakfast at IHOP. Truffula pancakes!

ROFLMAO too funny.

It would be all the more funny if it wasn't for the fact that more than half of Americans actually believe Fox News is News :(

Well, I'm two for two now.
I first claimed that Glenn Beck was a fucktard back when he was on CNN
and then I claimed Lou Dobbs was only a second away from a racial epitaph every moment he was on the air on CNN (nice to see that he landed work with the Devil).
My next guess would be Nancy Grace but from what I can tell about her Whitney Houston "investigation", she is already Queen of the Cunts.

So, teaching kids not to share and not to pollute is indoctrination?

Its brain washing us? Seriously?

They're fucking movies. The Lorax is based off of a childrens book that teaches kids that pollution is bad and nature is good. An environment that is destroyed by pollution kills the ecosystem, kills life (both wildlife and human [if you want to fight this, Ill point you to some cancer statistics]), and makes the world a bleaker place. That isn't indoctrination, it's fact. The Lorax never said that "Socialism is okay!", it just warned kids about corperate pollution, and how it affects us all. The Lorax started development before the OWS movements anyways - and while they they could sneak in some references, the team probably wouldnt have enough time to. But thats just logic.

As for TSWoA, how is teaching kids sharing a bad idea? From the clips they showed (which is admittedly all Ive heard of the movie), its a story about sharing. Sharing is something you teach children so they can grow up as rational adults. Its non-sensical to believe you can live in a world without sharing at any point - you wont always get your way. It didn't say "Corperations are bad" or "Yay socialism!", it said "sharing basic things is good.". Theres a difference between "can I have a few grains of sugar" and "lets tax the hyper rich to help the hyper poor" - both literally in within context of the movie.

I'm sorry, but this idea is ridiculous. They aren't making an agenda, they're making money. Yeah, the Lorax had a theme to it: but the theme wasn't a strong enough one to say it was politicized. As for the movie, its not trying to send an OWS message - its a message that gets hammered into kids already to help make them more conscious. Its not making them liberals, its just teaching them basic ideals.

The points hes making aren't valid. Eco Friendlyness =/= socialism, as he tried to say

Fox, stop hiding behind silly stories and just come out and say "death to non-american non-protestant non-imperialist people". The batshit right that you are trying so hard to connect to will repect you for it.
