How does that even make sense?

Mafia Wars didn't make sense at the time, but there ya go.

Either way, Fox had better never bash video games again, because now they're making their own.

Well, if you think about it, the Mafia (at least the Godfather's Mafia, not the real one) has built in levels (made-man, enforcer, don, etc.), missions (intimidate X, shoot Y, etc.), weapons (tomies, shotguns, pistols, etc.) and other characteristics of a MMO that made it easy to make into one. Some properties are begging for a MMO, including I think even Halo and My Little Pony:FiM (both have a basic class system with the species/sub-species, skills to level up, customization, etc.). Family Guy isn't one of them. How would you level up? What will the gameplay be like? What would be the reward for spending hours and hours in the game? What would you be doing? Who would you be playing?

The reasons just go on and on. To me, it just isn't making any logical sense.

Fox has made video games before, and it will do it again. Fox news and Fox entertainment are seperate branches of the company.

Okay then their brothers make games....meh okay this argument is going nowhere huh? =/

Wait. Are we sure this is a MMO? I see nothing on the site claiming its anything other than Family Guy Online. Which could be just about anything. It could simply be a single player browser game. Or something like Sam and Max.

It'll probably be horrible, though. No matter what it actually is. And I actually like the show.

This is, quite clearly, nothing more than a WoW clone.

First off, I agree the idea of a Family Guy MMO is a bit absurd. However, the author of this post is a bit dumb, to be frank. If he did his research he would have found this:

Earlier this year, Activision announced that it was making a game based on the Fox TV show The Family Guy.

Which, in turn, would make this guy's comment void as well:

OT, this sounds bad. I honestly don't know how they're supposed to translate Family Guy into an MMO.

Well i think his point is that it may be very similar to the simpsons hit and run series as i thought that aswell, this just sounds like a bad idea.

I like Family Guy but an MMO? Seriously?! Maybe it could work as some kind of crazy adventure game where you have to instantaneously travel through different locations by finding ways to bring them up in conversation. For example, you try to open a door but find out that it's locked and you need a key so you say "hey, at least this isn't as bad as that time I was trying to steal a lollipop from a locksmith" and you're suddenly talking to a locksmith who also has the lollipop you need to bribe the policeman with 7 legs to get his daughter's pet giraffe for the talent show.
