I have to say, I really want to play this. I've never even gotten into MMO's. I'd love to see how the FG universe can translate into a freaking online game. What a crazy concept.
I bet you'll use cutaway gags as combo attacks.
"Oh boy! I haven't been this embarrassed since George Romero directed Forrest Gump!"
*cut to clip of zombie hoard in the south*
"Jen-aiy, *sniffs*, I'm only doin' this because I love you." *gunshot blast*

This game absolutely does NOT sound like a cheap cash-in. If it were a Family Guy FPS, or a Family Guy iPhone physics game, then yeah. But isn't the MMO sub-industry currently infamously known of as the genre in which every game is helplessly mutilated by WoW?
That doesn't sound like the most profitable thing they could make. In fact, it sounds like they're fucking with people. And that's what I like, and the show in general; it fucks with people. It fucks with its fans, it fucks with other PG-13 cartoons, it fucks with the internet, it fucks with everybody.
South Park pisses off old people, religious people and political extremists, and it's great. Family Guy isn't nearly as good, but I like it because it it pisses off YOU; the open-minded young adult of the 21st century. You're constantly telling me how crappy it is and how downhill it went. The show pisses me off too. And you know what? It's hilarious!
My biggest problem was with how snarky and mean its political bias was. It took me a long time, but I finally realized that that's the joke. The joke is: look how outstandingly liberal this show is. Oh my god, it's horrible. It's SO pretentious! ROFLCOPTER.
Soon after, I realized that's what EVERYTHING in the show is about. And that's what makes it so good. Even if the jokes aren't as funny, and the episodes really, really drag on nowadays, the two core things that made it so good--its effervescent self-awareness and its lovable main characters--are still there in every way.
