Just another reason I why I hate FOX. They do anything to get their point across and do not care who they hurt in the process.

Jesus... you'd think this whole "games are art" thing would blow over already, now we got this bullshit-ass story to add fuel to the fire.

Knowing Fox, this probably has less to do with being anti-videogame and more to do with trying to convince people that cutting "Liberal" gubbermint programs like the NEA is a better idea for reducing the deficit than touching the engorged defense/social security budget or taxing the rich.

Fox didn't do anything wrong, they had a debate. Your ire should be directed at the dude who was arguing against video games as art, not FNC itself.
They set up the debate so the guy opposing video games would ignore every point the other guy made. Fox is just as much at fault for this as that asshole radio guy.

In the future, you can keep the word count in the title down by removing the word "ignorantly" from any topic about Fox News. It's like the "g" in "night." We all know it's there, so there's no reason to pronounce it.

Never trust a "News" organisation that has to defend its right to lie in a court of law.

That's essentially every Fox News debate. It's not really about fact, it's more about shouting over the other person and acting like you're speaking facts.

"BLAH BLAH BLAH CORRUPTING OUR CHILDREN BURNING OUR CHURCHES RAPING OUR WOMEN BLAH BLAH BLAH"

"That isn't true, and here are the facts to back it u-"

"BLAH BLAH HIDDEN AGENDA NEW WORLD ORDER THE JEWS COMMITTED 9/11 RAPING CHILDREN BLAH"

Did anyone just hear that? It sounded like Walter Cronkite rolling over in his grave.

This sort of reporting should be deemed either criminally manipulative and false, or criminally irresponsible for such a powerful news media.

I really am quite sick and tired of blatant lies and fabrications being used to twist and shape events.

To be fair Fox News is against any and all federal funding that doesn't go straight towards the military or their corporate overlords. If you asked them, they'd probably shut down public schools because they're a "socialist outrage" or something along those lines.

This news spot is very similar to a debate I saw on YouTube between a representative of the Australian Sex Party and some evangelical woman. The representative tried to talk only to be intrerupted EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. TIME by that evangelical, for the lack of a better word, *****. Let the other guy talk for fucks sake.

Outside of FOX News being FOX News and trying to distort the issue claiming commercial titles like Call of Duty would be eligible to receive funding I think there is a valid issue here. I know, as a taxpayer, I see all kinds of wasteful spending going on within the US government and I'd sure like for it to stop. Sure the NEA is probably a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of that wastefulness but it's still, regardless of how small, part of the bigger problem. Right now we (The U.S) need to cut spending not add to it. Obviously there are much larger targets out there like military spending and foreign aid that I'd argue are the larger parts of the problem, however, waste is waste regardless of the size.

If not for profit organizations want funding there are other ways besides sticking a hand out to the government to get that funding. You can ask for donations and let people CHOOSE if they want to support it rather than forcing them to contribute by spending tax dollars on it. While I will concede that some of the wasteful spending is indeed going to worthwhile causes these causes should be funded by choice not by force. I would never fault anyone for wanting to support the NEA but on the flip side if my choice is NOT to support it I shouldn't be made to against my will.

The bottom line is that government waste is at an all time high and it doesn't matter if it's wasting money propping up dictators in the middle east or giving money to organizations like the NEA it's still waste. In light of all this the government should focus it's efforts on cutting spending not increasing it.

Actually, i can't fault Fox on this one, although i still disagree with them. Fox, being a Republican mouthpiece, feels that nothing and no one deserves federal funding. This is just Fox sticking with the party line.

To be fair, this isn't REALLY an expression of Fox hating video games. It's an expression of Fox hate anything and everything even remotely connected with federal funding for anything. Health care for heroes of 9/11? Waste of taxpayer money! All this really is is an expression of a hardline anti-government perspective that will immediately froth at the mouth anytime the words, "Federal funds will..." are spoken.
