Anybody else think this is really hypocritical of a comic that condemns fanservice when it is aimed at men to turn around and praise it when aimed at women?

I don't care either way I have always been for creators being able to do what ever the fuck they want but I mean if you are going to have a opinion one way it is awful hypocritical to change it the second it isn't convenient to yourself.

I think the point of the comic is, that FREE is sort of combarable to a cheesy soft porn flick. I would hardly call that praise.

No one seriously cares if women get fan service or really wants to stop it, but what guys are doing is continuing to point this sort of thing out because online/tumblr feminism has a VERY short memory and are VERY loud and angry whenever guys enjoy eye-candy in entertainment.

I know I'm sick of getting a finger pointed in my face about being a horrible person over a fictional character wearing a bikini in MGS, then reading about an artist who also points fingers shlicking herself to pretty boys in anime

I remember at one of the cons I went to this summer I was in a panel for upcoming anime and we watched about 10 minutes of choice clips from Free! then the hosts talked about it (two of the three hosts were female so we spent a good while talking about it) and even though I was not to interested in it understandably as its not aimed at me, I did find it funny and the art style is great. But the next day I was surprised to hear rumors about the negative feedback the panel got and remember thinking "huh I don't recall anyone saying that" as the day went on the rumors got worse to the point where a friend of mine said that they heard somebody yelled "boooooooooooo!" when they showed the clips which is complete bull.

I think what is happening here is some people who yell about male oriented fan-service don't want to seem like hypocrites so they try to make they other side look like bigger hypocrites. Not that I'm saying that NOBODY was upset about female fan-service but those people are lowly bottom feeders and should be paid no attention.

You may need to separate them into different days based upon your current strength level, but the reps/sets are low enough so that you shouldn't be too sore to do them consecutively. I'd also advise doing legs too, because squats are really good for you, but that's just me.

Of course, I'm not against laughing at those idiots (who think that Free! will somehow change the industry), but with comments like

Luckily, I have a secret weapon on my side for dealing with just such a situation. I found it while on a dig in a remote part of Africa. It's called a "brain". In this case, since I know that (1) I am male, (2) I like anime, (3) I am straight, and (4) I don't hate Free!, my brain is able to conclude that not all men who like anime hate Free!. Meanwhile, that site was so concerned about people misconstruing their intentions they changed their name from "Male Otaku Mad About Free!" to just "Mad About Free!".

As for your second point, there is no valid criticism of Free! because it is BEST ANIME EVER MADE SORRY ITS OVER GUYS WE'VE REACHED PERFECTION YOU CAN ALL GO HOME.
