what year am I in?

Full Frontal is an old issue.
Thank you...It took three pages of comments for some one to point this out.
Full frontal nudity has been in cinemas/magazines since the VICTORIAN TIMES.

Big whoop, for the subject of full frontal nudity in movies for me is not even relevant.
I don't even care is its considered pornographic or not, the big thing for me is (for a movie that is) the quality of the film and dose a nude scene fits at all with what is going on. Random boobs just to get views is cheap, I don't. need a motion picture for that, that what the internet is for

Want nudity?

Watch Pedro Almodovar's movies. Although most of them are... meh.
I've only seen All About My Mother (which I loved), and I don't recall any nudity. It's been awhile since I've seen it, though.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand.

Naw, I don't care. If it serves the story, fine. If it's gratuitous, I get bored. As much as I loved Lust, Caution, there were times when I shouted "get on with it" at the TV.

Well, maybe because there weren't many guys in the film.

Almost every single movie of Almodovar has a nudity scene. See "Kika", "Live Flesh" and "Bad Education". Gah, I've just remembered that in Live Flesh you can see dude's wang for few whole seconds.

If it is significant in the plot, or for character development then I see no problem with it. The problem is when it gets put into films for no discernible reason, and becomes a standard, much like sex scenes a couple of decades ago.

If there is a point for the actors to be nude then its fine. But if they are naked just for the sake of some moronic half-baked scene then hell no.

I wanna see Scarlet Johannson's* box.

I don't care if it has nothing to do with the movie. Come to think of it, she doesn't even have to be IN the movie. She can just sorta show up, display her box, maybe fiddle with it a little bit, then leave again.

that'd be just dandy.

You're looking at this all wrong. Scarlett's box, man! Not her letter, her BOX!

You know its funny people say things like "yeah sure so long as its not just the females". But honestly I cant think of many none pornographic movies that show a Vagina. Lots of boobs sure but does that really even count? Not to anyone over 13 I imagine. On the otherhand I have seen plenty of films throw a penis at you for no particular reason. An always from a really ugly dude just to increase the gross out factor.

Anyway I would'nt mind seeing it so long as its not for no reason. Wait who am I kidding I would mind seeing it so long as the chick is hot lol.

Funniest thing I've seen all day.
Not sure if I'm buying the "it's not porn cause their famous" thing.
Well I mean Jenna Haze and the other porn stars are famous but I'm talking about acting talent, not see how many ping pong balls you can shove up your "you know what"

Oh, and just because a famous person is in it does not mean it is not porn.
Exactly.

Although I'm "comfortable with my sexuality" I'm totally okay with not seeing tons of peen in the movies I watch.

Don't need to see Keanu Reeves dork or Tom Cruise's shvantz.

Eeeeuuuuch... or Danny Devito's peice...

The thought of a naked Danny Devito is scaring me, ALOT.
the word Shvantz is making me laugh uncontrollably.

I'm all for it. The majority of movies these days have sucked (excluding Dark Knight and Wall-E) and if the only part of it I enjoy is some pointless full nudity by a good looking actress, then so be it. At least it wasn't a total waste.
And there in lies the problem we're talking about. People who are all "gung-ho" for full nudity purely for the thought of seeing some actress naked. I think the reason I personally have a problem with nudity in general in movies (full or partial) is because a good 90% of the time there is absolutely no need for it. In a parody such as Loaded Weapon, where they're deliberately making fun of the fact that Mel Gibson showed off his ass in Leathal Weapon, than I think that's fine. But usually it's just shock factor, fan service, or simply trying to draw in the (usually young) male crowd.

I mean, if we could be certain that people wouldn't abuse the hell out of it and start making porno films that are released in theatres, then maybe I would be willing to give it a chance. But so far, I find it annoying, because there's no real reason for it to be there. If someone makes a genuinely good movie and it just happens to have some nudity in it, then fine. But nudity for the sake of nudity is just pointless. I mean, it's less about this being a "taboo" and more about "we wear clothes for a reason", you know? Not everyone wants to see people running around in the au naturel.

You could basically just read SqueeFactor's post a bit further up and get the general idea of how I feel about nudity in movies, I suppose.
Uh, I think you kind of missed the point, but then I might have not made it very well. I'm not particularly gung-ho for pointless nudity (see Watchmen for example), I'm gung-ho for a higher caliber of film. What I'm saying is that most movies this year have been so bad that pointless nudity doesn't do anything to make it worse than it already was.

That said, I think full nudity is nothing to shy away from. Western society in general and the United States in particular are far to hung up about the morality of the human body. I don't believe in censorship just because someone's sensibilities might be offended. We're all people and there isn't anything inherently wrong or dirty about a nude human, male or female. I think it should be perfectly acceptable for full nudity in a movie, but unremarkable because it shouldn't be taboo in the first place.

While we're on this subject, I'm surprised that Watchmen got an R and not an NC-17. There was way too much exposé of Dr. Manhattan's lower Manhattan and then there's the rape attempt and the sex scene above the owl ship. It's also really gorey and the sound design made me jump several times during the fights.
Anyway, I believe there should only be nudity if it feels natural and not like they're trying to rub our noses in it.

Well, Watchmen has put Dr. Mahattan's celestial junk on cinema screens, so I think people will get more used to it someday.

In the first Terminator, in the scene where Schwarzenegger is approaching the punks and steals their clothing, his junk can be seen swinging around. "Wash day tomorrow... Nothing clean."
