I was just hoping you were at least paid by Putin to act as his unfiltered spokesperson on this forum. You shouldn't need a Russian diplomat's perspective to figure out that Putin is not appreciably worse than Biden or any other US president of recent memory.
You don't think the United States is the most powerful empire in history? Not to mention the most greedy and overbearing in the current moment? Are you that silly?I was just hoping you were at least paid by Putin to act as his unfiltered spokesperson on this forum.
For someone who likes to act like he's all "critical" you sure do love to just repeat bullshit from autocratic regimes.
But this isn't just about the US. This is about you saying things that could very well have come out of Lavrov's mouth. You don't think the United States is the most powerful empire in history? Not to mention the most greedy and overbearing in the current moment? Are you that silly?
There are vastly more Russians who have fled their homeland to the USA than Americans who have fled to Russia. You shouldn't need a Russian diplomat's perspective to figure out that Putin is not appreciably worse than Biden or any other US president of recent memory.
I wonder how much cop dna they would find if they ran it through that database
Why to go out into the cold to counter-protest when one can effectively sabotage them from the comfort of one's home?Lmao, whole thread is amazing
Not terrifically relevant, but okThere are vastly more Russians who have fled their homeland to the USA than Americans who have fled to Russia.
I can't help but feel that tells us something about which country is a more pleasant place to live, and let's not pretend it's just the money.
Cry more that the evil Russian diplomats-- those manipulative Slavs!-- speak more truth than people like Jen PsakiBut this isn't just about the US. This is about you saying things that could very well have come out of Lavrov's mouth.
The USA is where I live and whose propaganda I have to contend with-- which distorts my and your perception. This is just a necessary part of putting allegations about other countries in their proper context. World hegemony with more than 800 military bases amongst its 'allies' and foreign territories that is trying to establish a(nother) military presence on the other side of the world on (what is barely, if only for its nuclear capability) a rival's doorstep is whining about "imperialism"? Smells like shit! You're going through a lot of hoops to justify Russia's imperialism and when called out about it you just divert the point to "but what about the USA!".
Someone trying to convince you of something is not justification to go around claiming the opposite. You are, in your own way, basing your entire foreign policy view on pro-US propaganda. The USA is where I live and whose propaganda I have to contend with--
I don't claim the opposite without justification. I do highlight context, suggest other possible explanations than those provided by the propaganda, and claim opposites when there is justification to do so.Someone trying to convince you of something is not justification to go around claiming the opposite. So what are the alternative explanations for the massive troop buildup other than invasion or wanting to create the threat of invasion?I don't claim the opposite without justification. I do highlight context, suggest other possible explanations than those provided by the propaganda, and claim opposites when there is justification to do so.
For example, I'd have to say "maybe this isn't true" about the Nayirah testimony at the time. Reflexively claiming the opposite would have been more correct, alas.
What "massive" troop buildup? We've seen headlines about there being many tens of thousands of to a hundred thousand troops on the Ukraine border for years. So what are the alternative explanations for the massive troop buildup other than invasion or wanting to create the threat of invasion?
But when you do listen to what Putin is saying, he's saying that if Ukraine were to joing NATO it would trigger nuclear war. "Guys, come on, we're just doing scheduled military exercises and posturing about turning the world to glass, perfectly normal Tuesday."You have to actually listen to what Russia is saying about what they are doing (treasonous!) to hear that.
does sound like one, yesBut when you do listen to what Putin is saying, he's saying that if Ukraine were to joing NATO it would trigger nuclear war. "Guys, come on, we're just doing scheduled military exercises and posturing about turning the world to glass, perfectly normal Tuesday."
Wow. So that plane they shot down. Totally fake too? What "massive" troop buildup? We've seen headlines about there being many tens of thousands of to a hundred thousand troops on the Ukraine border for years.
Anyway, where else should they house their soldiers, Siberia? Near Japan? Have you considered that the main population centers of Russia are all pretty near the Ukraine? This is almost as silly as complaining about the Canadian military being near their border with the United States. As for the presence in Belarus, they have had scheduled military exercises. Not that I'd expect US media would ever report that explanation; you have to actually listen to what Russia is saying about what they are doing (treasonous!) to hear that.
What happened doesn't actually matter. It all boils down to "would it be anti-US/anti-West to make the claim?"Wow. So that plane they shot down. Totally fake too?
Must be a day ending in 'y'.Look at that, another set of assholes whining and crying, because people of different race they don't like are being positively represented or possibly represent anything they do like.
