The funny thing being after people mocked said "progressive" side on twitter for siding with the actual bugs (who BTW are a Covid 19 analogy, were captured in Helldivers1 experimented on in labs and farmed and broke out, with you being tasked on missions with shutting down the evil propaganda about the lab farms and escaped, oh and their actually supposedly spread in the air too) they then chose to side with the Automatons, who are Nazi coded whose bases have factories which churn out new bits all with the grey and reg colour scheme complete with skills and have piles of dead human bodies about along with the bigger Automaton factory camps having massive chimneys that put out spoke and an orange glow that can be seen on night missions from a fair way away. Oh and also the Automatons are the result of the subjugation and humiliation of the Helldivers 1 Cyborg faction at the hands of Super Earth.
Congratulations the true satire of the game was how badly the progressive side thought Helldivers 2 was on their side because all they saw was "patriotism and a runaway military are bad" without realising and lacking enough media literacy skills to analyse the stuff deeper and realise the game at best in mocking everyone and at worst had been taking far more shots at said progressive side but in more subtle ways they didn't realise. But hey I'm not surprised the side who proclaimed themselves "On the right side of history" from 2014 or so onwards lacked enough media literacy to be sucked in by Helldivers 2 overt stuff enough to ignore the less obvious but more numerous stuff.
People got really pissed at A24 for even entertaining this film let alone releasing it lol.

So why do they do fine scanning in male characters so consistently based on their actors?
It actually had some pretty interesting insta kill moves if you could pull them off and interesting mechanics especially in 2 where it required you to figure out you basically had to use a sort of super mode later in the game as the enemies were so tough you normal attacks were useless. Also the plot was cheesy in 1 but fun, good old killing the occult Nazis, hard to go wrong with that really.

Looking good is somewhat important in theatre, looking how a character is written or was originally envisioned in terms of other characteristics like height and hair are not.
