It’s not surprising Trump refused to rescue the migrant his goons kidnapped and send to prison in El Salvador.

The far right might claim to “only be against illegal migrants” but we all know they hate legal ones too. The message is that the US government can randomly have you kidnapped and send to a hellish foreign prison is meant to have a chilling effect on anyone thinking of coming to the US.

In other words: it’s virtue signaling. Trump needs to send the message to his base that he thinks brown people are vermin and to the brown people that he doesnt want them. And who cares if some brown guy rots away in a hellish prison?

It's what his base elected him to do: Make the people they hate suffer and die. And the people they hate are anyone who isn't exactly like them.

The right wing justifying this with legal technicalities (we can deport non-citizens for no reason, Free Speech only applies to citizens, etc) only underscores how little of a shit they give to free speech or any other principle

Wasn't that long they were going after Canada and Europe for having hate speech laws, even though that made cracking down on certain speech entirely legal, just like they're okay with doing this bullshit

I know they don't give a single shit about hypocrisy, but I still do. No reconciliation from this

Another permanent legal resident (green card holder) detained by ICE in retaliation foe protesting.
I am going to state this to all legal residents if it wasn't clear enough. Don't go to a protest. Let middle-aged men and women go. Even young people don't go there due to the possible ruined career prospects.

RFK said he's going to solve autism. That means Musk is finally going to stop being a nazi, right?
Why should he? the Nazis weren't so bad, Donald Trump has said so. Nazis would give an extra bit of bread, a meal on the side, etc. Maybe what the USA needs is people who show a little love, like SS concentration camp guards.

This administration and it's entire network of supporters and enablers need to be destroyed and eradicated completely from civilisation. Fucking evil fucks. This is the fourth reich, it's here now.

...

A 19-year-old Venezuelan in New York City reportedly was apprehended by Trump administration immigration authorities and deported to El Salvador despite agents’ realizing he was not whom they meant to arrest in a targeted operation.

Merwil Gutiérrez, whose family opened an asylum case after arriving in the US, was deported from the Bronx to the notorious Cecot prison in El Salvador despite his relatives’ insistence that he has no gang ties or criminal history, according to Documented, a newsroom dedicated to telling the stories of immigrants in New York City. The Gutiérrez family says it has been left without information or answers.

The teen was detained alongside 237 other Venezuelans on 24 February by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice). His father, Wilmer Gutiérrez, told Documented: “I feel like my son was kidnapped.

“I’ve spent countless hours searching for him, going from one precinct to another, speaking with numerous people who kept referring me elsewhere. Yet, after all this, no one has given me any information or provided a single document about his case.”

The elder Gutiérrez reportedly said he overheard Ice agents saying that his son had not been the person they had come to get.

“The officers grabbed him and two other boys right at the entrance to our building. One said: ‘No, he’s not the one,’ like they were looking for someone else. But the other said: ‘Take him anyway,’” he recalled.

Gutiérrez has no criminal record either in Venezuela or the US, his family said. He also did not have any tattoos, which is a feature that US law enforcement often use to link people to the Tren de Aragua gang – a transnational criminal organization from Venezuela – and to justify their expulsions from the country.

Despite this, Gutiérrez was arrested and later deported to El Salvador, to which he has no ties.

Wilmer Gutiérrez says he discovered through a news report that his son had been deported to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. He watched videos on social media that showed detainees facing harsh conditions, such as having their heads shaved by authorities and being marched to their prison cells.

In before @Phoenixmgs or @tstorm823 comes in to tell us "he must have done something wrong or they wouldn't have taken him, so off to the gulag with him".

Suppose this thread is as good as any to talk about it:

Someone hacked 4chan and took it down. It's been inaccessible for more than a day at this point.

Now, as a paranoid person I have my own thoughts about it but taken at face value: It seems to have been a user from a competing imageboard named Soyjak.Party. I've never been on there myself but from what I know: It's a site that basically splintered off from 4chan years ago, made up of users of 4chan's /qa/ board which got purged for excessive spam and has more or less acted as 4chans angry ex ever since. Again, I never paid much attention to that community. They talk weird and like to raid other sites.

I don't know very much about that sort of thing but as I understand it, they gained access by using an exploit related to the script that allows users to upload pdf files on some boards. What they've done since gaining access was take down the site and leak the user names, mail addresses and IP addresses of its staff members. Plus some other minor things which suggest that 4chan has been pretty poorly maintained ever since it changed ownership in 2015.

I don't wanna get too lost in the weeds in regards to this incident or politicize it more than it warrants. I will say that for all I can tell, politically Soyjak.Party seems to be somewhat to the right of 4chan but any actual convictions, if they exist at all, are covered by an impenetrable wall of irony, shitposting and barely comprehensible slang so maybe trying to find a political angle in this is a pretty pointless pursuit.

Either way, 4chan, one of the few remaining larger communities that haven't been subsumed into the greater social media machine, going down right now feels at least slightly sus. Make no mistake, it hasn't been anything you could call an anti establishment force since the late 00's but its easy accessibility and emphasis on anonymity still made it a bit of an outlier in the modern Internet landscape. Plus, it wasn't owned by any of the big American tech corps that have now for all intents and purposes merged with the American government.

Don't take any of this too seriously, that is just me putting on my tinfoil hat, in reality it's probably nothing. But maybe now is a pretty good time to keep an eye on reddit. If what I'm thinking does hold any water it might be up next for some kind of disruption.

For context

‘No Mercy’, a violent and explicit video game slammed as a ‘rape simulator’, was taken off of digital distribution service Steam globally after being banned in multiple countries. The game centers around a protagonist who rapes his family members, including his own mother. Players are instructed to ‘never take no for an answer’.

The game, developed by Zerat Games, faced severe backlash on social media. UK's Technology Secretary Peter Kyle said that 3D game is ‘deeply worrying’. ‘No Mercy’ was launched on Steam last month and was described by its developers as containing violence, incest, blackmail, and ‘unavoidable non-consensual sex’.

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) said that pulling ‘No Mercy’ from Steam was the correct decision.

“I fully understand that for many people such things may be disgusting, but during sex, people should really do what they want, as long as they don’t harm anyone,” Zerat Games said, according to Kotaku,

“If after reading [our statement] you still believe that such a game should not have been created, then we sincerely apologize to you. At the same time, we would like you to be a bit more open to human fetishes that don’t harm anyone, even though they may seem disgusting to you. This is still just a game, and although many people are trying to make it into something more, it remains and will continue to be a game.”
