I don't know. But I am sure you have the answer and lecture for me, so let's hear it!
Answer: You sorta just flipped a ***** in a busy intersection...

Lecture: Yes.

May have gotten those backwards...
I will concede one thing: not all art of anthromorphic animals is perverse.
I just see it so applied.
I enjoy anthromorpic characters as a normal person does. Chewbacca is just a cool character. Not an idol of sexual affection.

I have seen enough to form my own opinions. And I think the furry community could do better by opening discourse rather than claim racism or other silly things. If my view is that furries are thin-skinned perverts, who will defend their fetish to the last drop of blood, this sort of thing won't change my mind.
I only called that guy out on being a racist because he was going on about how suddenly being part human part something was 'subhuman' and perverse and he would treat them like the animals that they were. That is totally racist. However racist isn't the right term for someone who doesn't understand an idea and spouts hate about it out of willful ignorance, and I admit I used it for that.

This is falling apart VERY FAST. Its barely an hour and were at page 6 with squibblings about racism and 'i are not a troll/furry/pervert'. Honestly, why was this topic started.

Ohh yeahh baby, that's the stuff.
Hmm due to some studies I've read, it says here that Dolphins are prone to "douchebaggery" such as killing sharks for nor reason what so ever.

Dolphins are the official Frat-Boys of the sea

Personally, I think the whole concept of human > animal needs a bit more rethinking.

I mean, yeah we can create atomic war and spy on people from orbit via satellites, but is that really a sign of our superiority, or just our advancement in ways we can screw one another over?

I mean, it is amazing, but no more amazing than animals being able to view the infrared spectrum, or run on water, or secrete venom, or regenerate entire limbs. We may have learned to make incredible things, but let's face it...

We sure haven't figured our way around a A.) A an atom bomb, or B. ) A bible... or C.) A cheeseburger... (insert obligatory meme)

And there you have it. Sharks are really misunderstood Conan The Barbarians of the sea, and the dolphins are the Junk Raiders of the sea.

Human evolution has almost halted. We hit the tools phase and then stopped working on ourselves in favor of manipulating our environment and constantly striving to find the right tool for the job. I think all the movies about thousands of years into the future are a fairly accurate portrayal of how people will look then. Exactly the same...

Properly many others would use to serum, so it doesn't really matter what other think of it.

Exactly the same, except the part where we all look like the humans from Wall-E. ^^;

Depends on what animal traits I get. Do I actually get fur? Then fuck no. I'm hairy as it is. I have no problem with ears, eyes and tails though.

Of course. We already play with genetics as is, I don't see the big deal in adapting new traits if they work. But are they really necessary for our needs as a species?
I do wonder what would happen to the course of human evolution if societies get into genetic manipulation to this extent; generally, evolution would occur as a result of ecological pressures favoring useful traits while the less useful ones die out. What would it mean to have control over that sort of adaptability? I can't wait to find out, to be honest.
Frankly, aside from stirring up trouble (intentional or not), I'm not sure why you had to bring furries into it in the first place. But since it was asked, yeah. We're all animals anyway, I don't really care one way or another if someone decides to make themselves more of one on the outside. I'd do it too, in a heartbeat, especially if it meant making my life easier.

As long as I can afford it, why not?
I can be stronger, smarter, faster, and stay warm in the winter? Sign me up!

So long as the side effects aren't too horribly debilitating. One doesn't undergo such a drastic change without side effects.

Nothing against people who want to stay the way they are, but I can at least admire a fox's work ethic over a human's. They certainly don't get to become couch potatoes.

I mean, if we've stopped evolving because we adapt the environment to suit our needs via tools... why can't we also use the adaptations other animals develop through the rigors of surviving as a species--as tools?

I would, no question. As long as I retain all of fingers. Having a controllable tail would be a plus (a tail would be really useful, like when you first learn you can pick thing sup with your feet you thin "how did I live before this?").

Soooooo.
The serum turns you into Dren?
http://s2.daemonsmovies.com/mov/up/2010/05/dren-splice.jpg
No I wouldn't,
I will use the Gurren Lagann beastmen as a template
as cool as it would be to be animal/man on the level of Viral
http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/contents/gurren-lagann/images/chara/viral.jpg
you have just as much of a chance of looking like Guame.
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090223234845/gurennlagann/images/0/0c/Guame.gif
another huge problem with this is that furries would no translate well into reality and would be more uncanny valley then attractive for the most part.
Beside getting cat eyes, that would kick ass.

Wasn't there an episode of Batman Beyond like this? But yeah, I would totally take it and built an utopian city with all the other splicers. Hopefully it would be more like Genosha and less like Rapture.
