I saw the first few new episodes on the internet since they arent showing it in England except during late night time. I think it's pretty good. I think there may be some nostalgia happening. We would probably find issues if a second series of Firefly came out.

I noticed it too and I don't like this season as much as the last ones. I don't really find it funny anymore. Still I have seasons 1-4 sitting around so I could use those to give me the closure I need.
I like the new episodes. And I haven't found them to be too preachy. But then, that's probably because I don't have a problem with the messages or something.
I dont think its anything to worry about. I think theyre just enjoying their freedom right now. with the restrictions lifted, they can do so much now that they couldnt do before, and I think now theyre just trying things out, trying to find where the line is, enjoying the fact that they can now do a lot that they couldnt before. Give it a bit and I think theyll settle back into their usual pace. Itll be a little different of course, but I think the "preaching" will disappear soon.
I agree that they have taken many of the episodes to convey some kind of relevant message - they have seen the success off south park with that kind of idea and are trying to see if it will work for them.
I enjoyed every episode of the new season except the first one and the cat one. The show may have changed tone but it still knows how to appeal to me.

Yeah but the shows always been a soap box, it makes fun of society, its always been like that, sure some more than others but thats the foundation the show was built on, And i personally love south park, newer stuff is meh hahaha funny but the older stuff is goldOptimystic said:
